Border Security Force requires 37 Technical Posts (Group B & C Combatised) for Motor Transport Workshop Cadre. Last Dt. 20/05/2013

Border Security Force (BSF) is inviting application for 37 Nos. Technical Posts (Group- B & C Combatised) for Motor Transport Workshop Cadre in BSF. For selection, All India Examination will be hold. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and criteria in brief is given below —

Posts, Trades and No. of vacancies are as follows—
— SI (Auto electrician), Group –B: 4 Nos.
— CT (Auto Electrician), Group—C: 14 Nos.
— CT (Black Smith OR Tin Smith), Group—C: 7 Nos.
— CT (Fitter), Group—C: 6 Nos.
— CT (Vulcanize OR Operator Tyre Repair Plant), Group—C: 4 Nos.
— CT (Upholster), Group—C: 1 Nos.
— CT (Storekeeper), Group—C: 1 Nos.

Educational Qualification for Group- B Posts (SI Auto Electrician): 3yrs Diploma in Auto Electrical Engineering.
Age Limits: between 20yrs to 25yrs as on Last Date of Application.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200

Educational Qualification for Group-C Posts (CT- Technical): Matriculation or Class 10 AND ITI certificate in respective trade OR 3yrs experience in respective trade.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on Last Date of Application.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000

Upper age relaxation for reserved candidates is as per norms (refer the below advt. link for details)

Physical Standards: Height—165cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—75cms/ 80cms. Weight—as per medical standard corresponding to Height and Weight.
Cut-off in physical standard for hill area candidates and ST candidates is as per norms (Refer the Advt.)

Selection of the candidates will be through All India Written Examination. There will be Physical Efficiency Test and Practical Test as per respective trade (Details given in the Advt. Link below)

How to Apply: Candidates may apply on prescribed application format and should addressed it to the respective Centre (Address list available in the PDF).
Candidates must enclose the attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility. 3 Nos. passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be attached to the application. Two self-address envelopes (25cm x 12cms) with affixed postal stamp of Rs.27/- on each is to be enclosed.

Application fee: Rs.50/- in form of Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft drawn in favour of respective centre/ zone (refer the below link for details).
SC/ST and Ex-serviceman are Exempted from Application fee.

For candidates of West Bengal, the Application form is to be addressed to – The Inspector General, Ftr HQ BSF, South Bengal, 2—B, Lord Sinha Road, Kolkata (West Bengal)—700071 and the Indian Postal Order/ Draft should be drawn in favour of – “IG BSF South Bengal” SBI Service Branch Kolkata, Code No.8554.

The envelope containing the envelope must be superscribed – “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (TECHNICAL) OR CONSTABLE (TECHNICAL) IN BSF FOR MOTOR TRANSPORT WORKSHOP CADRE—2013”.

Last Date of Application: The Application form must reach on or before 30 days from the date of release of this advertised (released on employment news dated 20.03.2014, therefore the last date is 20th May 2013)
