Border Security Force (BSF), Communication Wing, is recruiting 811 Assistant Sub-Inspector (RM), Head Constable (RO) and Head Constable (Fitter) in BSF Communication Set-up. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational norms and brief details is given below —
1. ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR (RM)
Number of Vacancies: 103 Nos. (Gen—53; OBC—29; SC—13; ST—08)
Qualification: Matriculation with 3yrs Diploma in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances
OR
10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate with subject — Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
2. HEAD CONSTABLE (RO)
Number of Vacancies: 685 Nos. (Gen—350; OBC—183; SC—102; ST—50)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and 2 years ITI certificate in Radio and TV or Electronics.
OR
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
3. HEAD CONSTABLE (FITTER)
Number of Vacancies: 23 Nos. (Gen—13; OBC—6; SC—3; ST—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent
OR ITI certificate course of two years in Engine Fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Automobile or Motor Mechanic.
OR
10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Age Limit: minimum, 18yrs and maximum 25 years as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-
Physical Standards of the Candidates:
Male candidates — Height: 168 cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded): 80 cms/ 85cms; Weight: Correspondence to Height.
Female candidates — Height: 157 cms; Chest: Not applicable and Weight: Correspondence to Height.
N.B: Cut-off in height and chest measurement for Hilly area candidates and for ST / Adivasis is as per Govt. norms (See the below advt. link for details)
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, PST, PET, Interview and Final Medical Examination. For syllabus and details, see the below URL.
Exact date and venue will be intimated in due course. The tentative date of First Phase examination is 24th November, 2013 (Written Examination).
Application Fee: Application form must be enclosed with Crossed Bank Draft / Indian Postal Order of Rs.50/- only as examination fee drawn in favour of the Inspector General/DIG/Comdt to whom the application is addressed payable at respective SBI/post office. (See the below link for details)
SC/ST candidates are exempted from Application Fee.
How to Apply: Apply on prescribed application format along with Self-Attested copies of Educational qualification certificate, Age proof certificate, Caste certificate, Domicle certificate and Etc.
Candidates must also enclose Two Self-Address envelopes (25×12 cms) with duly affixed postal stamp of Rs.27/- on each.
The envelope containing application must be superscripted in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASI/RM AND HC(RO)/HC/FITTER ”
