Number of Vacancies: 196 posts (Male-160 posts and Female-36 posts)

1) Archery: 05 Posts (Male-01 and Female-04)

2) Aquatic (Swimming, Driver & Water Polo): 14 Posts (Male)

3) Athletics /Cross Country: 24 posts (Male-20, Female-04)

4) Basketball: 07 posts (Male)

5) Boxing: 07 posts (Male)

6) Equestrian: 04 posts (Male)

7) Foot ball: 08 posts (Male)

8) Gymnastics: 04 posts (Male)

9) Handball: 06 posts (Male)

10) Hockey: 10 posts (Male)

11) Judo: 15 posts for (Male-07 and Female-08)

12) Kabaddi: 07 posts (Male)

13) Polo: 01 posts (Male)

14) Shooting: 13 posts (Male-10, Female-03)

15) Tae-Kwando: 16 posts (Male)

16) Volleyball: 08 posts (Male)

17) Water Sports (Kayaking, Canoeing & Rowing): 19 posts (Male-14, Female-05)

18) Weightlifting: 13 posts for (Male-08, Female-05)

19) Wrestling (Free Style & Greco Roman): 15 posts (Male-08, Female-07)

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or 10th class pass.

 

Sport Qualification: Candidates who have represented a state or the country in the National or International competition in any of the games /sports mention above.
OR
Candidates who have represented their university in the Inter University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sport Board in any of the sports/games mention above.
OR
Candidates of merit who have represented sate schools team in National Sports/Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the Games/sports mention above.

 

Physical Standard: 

(i) Male Candidates: Height— 170 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates and 165 cms for hilly area candidates and 160 cms for North East States); Chest: Unexpanded-80 cms and Expanded-85 cms (Unexpanded-76 cms and Expanded- 81 cms for ST candidates and Unexpanded-78 cms and Expanded-83 cms for hilly areas and Unexpanded- 77cms and Expanded- 82 cms for North-Eastern states)

(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms (150 cms for ST candidates and 147.5 for North East States and 155 cms for hilly areas); Chest: Not applicable.

 

Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Minimum-18 years and maximum-23 years as on 01/08/2016.

 

Pay Scales (For all above posts/discipline): Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay – Rs.2000/- and other allowances per month.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Height Bar Test, Identity Check, Checking of Testimonials documents, Physical Standard Test, Trial in respective sports discipline and Medical Examination.
