Border Security Force(BDF) is recruiting 1670 Constable (Tradesmen) in the pay band-I, in various Trades – Cobbler, Tailor, Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Cook, Mali and Etc. Only Male candidates are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (see below) only along with testimonials. 5.Constable (Painter): 8 Nos. 
6.Constable (Cook): 478 Nos. 
7.Constable (Water Carrier): 299 Nos. 
8.Constable (Kahar): 04 Nos. 
9.Constable (Washer man): 236 Nos. 
10.Constable (Barber): 107 Nos. 
11.Constable (Sweeper): 316 Nos. 
12.Constable (Waiter): 08 Nos. 
13.Constable (Mali): 07 Nos. 
14.Constable (Khoji): 8 Nos. 
Note: Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Madhyamik pass or equivalent.
AND 02 years experience in the respective trades OR ITI/ Vocational course of 01 year in the respective course OR 02 years Diploma from ITI in the Trade or similar trade.

Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Physical Standards of the candidates:
Height—167.5 ms
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 78/ 83 cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height as per medical standard.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through – (i) Documentation verification, (ii) Physical Standard Test (PST), (iii) Physical Efficiency Test, (iv) Trade Test, (v) Written Test of 100 marks and finally (vi) Interview. 
Written test will be Objective type multiple choice question on OMR based answer sheet (See the PDF below for Syllabus).
Physical Efficiency Test will be – Race of 05 KM to be completed with 24 minutes.
