Border Security Force (BSF) is inviting application from eligible Male and Female candidates for 14 posts of Constable (Daftry). Name of the Post: CONSTABLE (DAFTRY)
No. of Vacancies: 14 Nos. (OBC-06; SC-04 & ST-04)

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.

 

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on last date of receipt of application. The upper age relaxation for reserved category will be as per govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.2000/- per month plus other allowances as per govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards:—

Male candidates: Height—165 cms (162.5cms for Adivasis/Mizos/Nagas); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—77cms/ 82 cms (76cms/ 81cms for Adivasis/Mizos/ Nagas)

Female Candidates: Height – 157cms

Weight (For male/female) — Corresponding to the height as per medical standards.

For cut-off in physical standards in case of candidates from Hill areas and Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Laddakh regions of J&K, please refer the advt. link given below.

Eye Sight (Male/Female) — Visual standard should be 6/6 to right eye and 6/12 left eye or 6/9 both eye without glasses.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Test, Documents Verification, Medical Examination and Interview. Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.

Candidates may choose their examination centre and shall mention the same in the Application form. Candidates applying from West Bengal may choose either Kolkata or Siliguri (Kadamtala) as Examination Centre. See officially released advertisement for more details.

Examination Fee: Rs.50/- is to be paid in form of crossed Demand Draft/ Postal Order drawn in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed (See list of addresses outlined in the advt./pdf file given below)

NO FEE IS TO BE PAID IN CASE OF SC/ST AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.
