Border Security Force, Recruitment Section, is going to hold an All India Examination for recruitment the Sub-Inspector/ Junior Engineer (Electrical) in BSF Engg Set up for the year – 2013. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —
Sub Inspector/ Jr. Engineer: 28 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—4; ST—2; OBC—15)
Educational Qualification: Three years diploma in Electrical Engineering
Age Limit: Maximum 30yrs as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-
Physical Standards Test (PST)
(i) For Male candidates: Height—165 cms (160 for hill tribes and adivasis); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—76/ 81 cms (relaxable by 2 cms for candidates below 20 years); Weight—Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
(ii) For female candidates: Height—157 cms; chest—not applicable; Weight—minimum 46 ksgs.
Eye sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both the eyes without correction.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Personal Interview and finally Medical examination.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.50/– through Demand Draft/ IPO in the name of the addressee where the Application form is being submitted by the candidate.
No Application Fee for all Women candidates and SC/ST/ Ex-Servicemen candidates.
