The eligibility criteria for BSF SI Recruitment in 2024 are as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. Those who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination are also eligible, provided they acquire the essential qualification by the cutoff date, which is 01.08.2024.
Degree Recognition: Degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning modes from recognized universities are accepted, subject to approval by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission.
Age Limit: The age limit for candidates applying for the BSF SI Recruitment varies according to the category. However, generally, candidates should be between 20 to 25 years of age as of 01.08.2024. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
BSF SI Recruitment Physical Standards 2024
The BSF SI Recruitment 2024 sets specific physical standards for candidates aiming to join the Border Security Force.
Male Candidates:
- Minimum height requirement: 170 cm.
- Chest measurement: 80 cm (unexpanded) and 85 cm (expanded).

However, women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid only through online modes such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
