BSNL, West Bengal Circle- Recruitment of Jr. Telecom Officer (JTO) against PWD Quota. Last Dt. 05/09/2014

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), West Bengal Telecom Circle, is recruiting 12 “Junior Telecom Officers” in discipline of – Telecom, Civil and Electrical, under Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). The Open Competitive Examination will be held on 23.11.2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational Qualification norms and brief details are given below —

BSNL, WEST BENGAL TELECOM CIRCLE REQUIRES 19 JUNIOR TELECOM OFFICERS (TELECOM/ CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL). LAST DATE – 05.09.2014

Name of the Post and No. of vacancies as per discipline wise –

JTO (Telecom) : 10 Nos. [PWD (LI)—3; PWD (HI)—7]
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines — (i) Telecommunication, (ii) Electronics, (iii) Radio, (iv) Computer, (v) Electrical, (vi) IT (Information Technology), (vii) Instrumentation.

JTO (Telecom) (For Calcutta Telecom District) : 7Nos. [PWD (LI)—1; PWD (HI)—6]
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines — (i) Telecommunication, (ii) Electronics, (iii) Radio, (iv) Computer, (v) Electrical, (vi) IT (Information Technology), (vii) Instrumentation.

JTO (Civil): 1 Nos. [PWD (HI)—1]
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering

JTO (Electrical): 1 Nos. [PWD(LI)—1]
Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

Note: Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31.12.2014.

Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as on last date of receipt of application. Upper age relaxation for PWD candidates upto 10 years for OC, 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC candidate. For Ex-Serviceman and others – as per norms. (See the PDF below).

Pay Scale: Rs.16400—40500 plus other allowances as per norms.

The above mentioned vacancies are under Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities(PWD) in West Bengal Telecom Circle. Hence only PWD (LI/ VI) candidates may apply.

Candidates Selection: The mode of selection is through Open Competitive Examination. The Question Paper will be fully objective type with multiple options.
The examination centre will be the Circle Headquarters city of the CGM concerned i.e. Kolkata and will be hold on dated 23-11-2014 (Sunday).

For West Bengal Telecom Circle: Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format (See PDF file below), for the vacancies under West Bengal Telecom Circle, along with attested copies of the testimonials. The duly filled Application form shall be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Domicile Certificate, Age, Caste and Etc. For Calcutta Telecom District: The interested candidates may first apply online (See URL below) and then shall send one copy of system generated application along with attested copies of enclosures to the below given address.

Last Date and Address:
For WB Telecom Circle: The Application form along with enclosures shall reach by Speed/ Registered Post to the (for posts under WB Telecom Circle) — “DGM (HR/Admn), O/o the CGM, Telecom. BSNL, West Bengal Telecom Circle, 1 Council House Street, (2nd floor), Kolkata – 700 001”, so as to reach on or before 05/09/2014.

For Calcutta Telecom District: Candidates applying for the post of J.T.O. (Telecom) under Calcutta Telecom District, shall first submit their application through online mode (see link below) and then shall address their print-out copy of generated application to – “The Asstt. General Manager (R&E),  O/o the Chief General Manager,  B.S.N.L, Calcutta Telephones, Telephone Bhawan, 4th floor, Room No. 436,  34, B.B.D Bag (South), Kolkata- 700 001”, so as to reach on or before 15/09/2014. The Online Application must be submitted on or before 05/09/2014

The envelope containing application form should be marked (for WB Telecom Circle) “Application for __________, Examination- 2013 for PWD in WBTC”.

Candidates applying for the post of J.T.O (Telecom) under Calcutta Telecom District shall superscribe the envelope as – “Application for J.T.Os(Telecom) under Special Recruitment Drive for Persons with Disabilities-2013 Examination”
