Calcutta High Court, Appellate Side, requires 117 Lower Division Assistant, Data Entry Operator & Telecom Operator. Last Dt. 31/05/2013

Calcutta High Court, Appellate Side, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 117 Nos. posts of – Lower Division Assistant, Data Entry Operator and Telephone Operator, for preparation of separate panels in the High Court of Calcutta. The appointment will be initially on contractual basis but is likely to become permanent. Employment Notice No. 1855—RG, dated 30th April,2013. CATEGORY NO.I: LOWER DIVISION ASSISTANT

CATEGORY NO.II: DATA ENTRY OPERATOR
Number of Vacancies: 6 Nos. Break up of vacancies is as follows —

O.B.C (A): 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary pass or its equivalent AND one year diploma in Computer Application and posses a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour.
Preference will be given to the candidates who have experience as Data Entry Operator.
Candidates must have knowledge in the vernacular of the State and English.

CATEGORY NO.III, TELEPHONE OPERATOR 
Number of Vacancies: 3 Nos. Break up of vacancies is as follows —
Unreserved: 01 Nos.
Unreserved (EC): 01 Nos.
Scheduled Tribe: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary pass or its equivalent AND a Certificate in Telephone Operating from a recognized Institutions. Candidates must have ability to answer queries regarding P.B.X and speak in English fluently.

Pay Scale: Rs.5400—25200 with initial start at Rs.6570/- (along with other allowances) per month.

Age Limits (For all posts): Between 18yrs to 40yrs as on the date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST- 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman & any other Categories – As per Govt. norms
Candidates of Exempted Category and Ex-serviceman Category need not be apply directly since their names are to be fowarded from the respective authority/authorities.
Please Note: Candidates of West Bengal will be applicable for Upper age relaxation. The SC/ST/OBC candidates of other States shall be treated as General Candidates.

The engagement to the above posts will be initially on temporary basis but is likely to be made permanent.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination/ Computer typing test (as applicable)/ Practical testimonials
For the post in Category-III, there will be Interview and proficiency test in Telephone Operating.

Application fee: Candidates must pay Application fee of Rs.200 (Rs.50 in case of SC/ST candidates of West Bengal) through any branch of United Bank of India by means of Fee Challan. Candidates may download the bank’s fee Challan from the court’s website — www.calcuttahighcourt.nic.in  (live url to advt. is given below)
N.B: Candidates must pay Rs.12/- additionally along with Application fee as Bank processing fee (also for SC/ST candidates)

Each application form must be accompanied by :- 

• Two recent and identical passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate on the frontal portion of both the photographs (one to be pasted on the top right hand corner of the application and the other to be stitched/stapled with the application); 
• Attested documents in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, knowledge in Computer application and Key Depressions Speed (In Case of Data Entry Operator only), Caste and specific claim for other merit and disabilities etc. (in case of the candidates belonging to S.C., S.T. & O.B.C., EC, Ex-Serviceman, Meritorius Sports Person, Person with Disabilities categories); 
• One self-addressed envelope of the size of 25 cm x 11 cm with postal stamp of Rs. 5/- affixed thereon; 
• Office copy of Bank Challan to be enclosed with the application.

Candidates intending to apply for all the categories of posts, must submit separate applications for each
category alongwith all the documents and the prescribed application fee.
