CANTONMENT BOARD IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 17 POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER, LOWER DIVISION CLERK, WIREMAN, ELECTRICAL HELPER, HEALTH INSPECTOR, STOREKEEPER, OFFICE ASSISTANT, LATCHI, GANGMAN AND VALVEMAN. LAST DATE — 13.07.2016

 

1. Assistant Programmer: 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ Information Technology OR Master of Science Degree in Computer Science OR Master Degree in Computer applications and must have experience for a period of not less than 1 year through work and direct involvement in OR more facts of analysis, accounting operation testing, information system data processing teaching or research.
Desirable: Two years experiences of development and maintenance of application software.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4500/-

 

2. Lower Division Clerk: 02 Nos. (UR-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (HSC passed) with Typewriting lower grade in English
Desirable: Candidates from Commerce background are desirable and qualification in Computer MS office or equivalent.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

3. Wireman: 03 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: SSLC Pass / Fail Successfully completed the ITI in the trade of Wireman.
Desirable: Previous field experiences and ‘B’ Licence certificate from TNEB
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

4. Electrical Helper: 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII Passed and knowledge of electricity is essential.
Desirable: Previous Field experience.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

 

5. Health Inspector: 01 Nos. (SC-01)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary Science Group) with Sanitary Inspectors Course Certificate or equivalent.
Desirable: Previous field experiences & candidates who have completed food safety course is desirable.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

 

6. Storekeeper: 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) and Technical examinations in Book Keeping with Typewriting lower Grade in English.
Desirable: Knowledge in e-tendering/e-auction, GFR rules and Qualification in computer (MS Office or equivalent)
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

7. Office Assistant: 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed and must be able to cycle
Desirable: Previous field experience & knowledge in book keeping is desirable.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.4800/- Rs.10, 000/- and Grade Pay Rs.1300/-

 

8. Latchi (only women candidates): 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed and must have ability to read and write in Tamil.
Desirable: Previous field experience in Medical Institutions.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.4800/- Rs.10, 000/- and Grade Pay Rs.1300/-

 

9. Gang man: 03 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed and experiences in gang work i.e. building or earth work is essential.
Desirable: Previous field experience in water supply department.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

 

10. Valve man: 02 Nos. (UR-02)
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed.
Desirable: Previous field experience in water supply department.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 20.07.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.4800/- Rs.10,000/- and Grade Pay Rs.1300/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Skill Test wherever applicable.
