Indian Ord. Factories— Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur, under Ministry of Defence, is recruiting 239 persons for the posts of Semi-skilled under various trades, Storekeeper and Durwan. Application can be submitted online. Vacancies were in Group –C Industrial Establishment / Non Industrial Establishment. Brief details below—
1. Semi- Skilled: 214 Nos. (Gen-108; SC-28; ST-48; OBC-30) out of total 6 Nos. for PH and 20 Nos. for Ex-Serviceman.

Mechanist Grinder: 4 Nos.
Machinist: 40 Nos.
Millwright: 11 Nos.
Miller: 32 Nos.
Turner: 21 Nos.
Welder: 21 Nos.
Fitter (Electronics): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation pass (Class-10) and NCTVT certificate or I.T.I. certificate in relevant trade.
Age limit: between 18yrs to 32yrs as on 1/4/2012.
Pay scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.1800
2. STOREKEEPER: 5 Nos. (Gen-3; SC-1; OBC-1). Out of them 1 Nos. for PH candidates.
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass (Class- 10+2). Basic knowledge of computer application is desirable.
Age limit: between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 1/4/2012
Pay scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.1900
3. DURWAN (Male Only): 20 Nos. (Gen-13; SC-1; ST-4; OBC- 2). Out of them 1 Nos. for PH and 2nos. for Ex-Serv.
Qualification: Matriculation pass (Class-10). Must be physically fit.
Physical standard: Height: 165 cms., Weight: Min 45 kg and Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 77cms/ 82cms.
Age limit: between 20yrs to 27yrs.
Pay scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.1800
Candidates Selection: Candidates will be Selected through written test. There will be trade test for posts in Semi-skilled. Written test will be of 100 marks and Trade test will be of 100 marks.
Written examination will be of Objectives types on followings (For posts in Semi-skilled and Storekeeper)—(i) General Intelligence, (ii) English Language (basic knowledge), (iii) Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic skills) and (iv) General Awareness. Duration will be of 2 hours. Syllabus will be of class 10 standard.
For the post of Durwan, first there will be screening test (height & weight measurement) and then the qualified candidates will sit for written examination. Questions will be of Multiple choice types and based on class 10th standard on followings—(i) General Intelligence, (ii) General Awareness, (iii) English Language and (iv) Numerical Aptitude.

Fee: A bank draft of Rs.50 is to be prepared in favour of The General Manager, Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur. SC/ST/PH and Ex-Serviceman candidates do not require Bank draft (fee).
After applying On‐line, the candidate is required to download the duly filled ‘Application Form’ and the ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ generated by the system with unique registration number for future reference. The candidate should take print of ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ in two copies. One copy is to be sent along with the Bank Draft to the address/Post Box Number printed on the ‘Acknowledgement Slip’ and the other copy is to be retained by the candidate for reference.
Along with Acknowledgement slip candidates should enclose the Bank Draft of prescribed amount.
Last Dates to Apply Online:- 8th May 2012 (for Semi-skilled posts); 24th May 2012 (for Storekeeper) and 10th June 2012 (for Durwan)
Last Dates of receipt of print-out Acknowledgement slip & Demand Draft: 23rd May (for Semi-skilled), 9th June (for Storekeeper) and 26th July (for Durwan).
