Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi is inviting online application for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for CTET-SEPT 2014 on CTET website. Candidates qualifying this examination may apply for the post of Teacher for Classes I to V (Primary Stage) and for Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage). Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET), SEPT – 2014.

ELIGIBILITY:

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary or its equivalent pass with at least 50% marks and shall have passed or appearing  in final year of 02 years Diploma in Elementary Education or 04 years Bachelor of Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE, Regulation, 2002.

OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

 

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
NOTE: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility to apply shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

Candidates’ Selection:
The CTET examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET.

(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.

(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

 

How to Apply: Apply Online only through the official website of CTET — www.ctet.nic.in (See URL below).

Candidates must follow instructions strictly as given in the Information Bulletin on the websites.


Application Fee:

For General & OBC candidates: Rs.600/- for  single paper (Paper-I or Paper-II) AND Rs.1000/- for both paper (Paper-I & II)

For Rs.300/- for  single paper (Paper-I or Paper-II) AND Rs.500/- for both paper (Paper-I & II)

Fee can be paid through Fee challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. Fee can be also paid online during submission of online application by means of Debit/ Credit card or Net banking.
After depositing the prescribed fee and successful submission of final stage of online application, the system generated Registration Slip/ Confirmation Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain it safely for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/ FORM TO CBSE, CTET Unit.
Important Dates:

Starting Date of Online Application: 15/07/2014

Closing Date of Online Application: 04/08/2014

Admit card will be available for downloading from 22/08/2014 onwards.
