Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi is going to conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for those candidates who wish to appoint as a teacher for classes 1 to VIII. Interested candidates may apply for CTET-July 2013 from the official website of CBSE through Online application system. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —

CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET- JULY 2013)

ELIGIBILITY NORMS—
Minimum Educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Class 1 to V (Primary Stage)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR 
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): 

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR 
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR 
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR 
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) 

N.B: Relaxation upto 5% marks in minimum educational qualification (as stated above) will be given to SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates.

Fees for CTET – July 2013 Examination—
Rs.500/- for candidates opting to apply as teacher for Class 1 to V or VI to VIII. AND Rs.800/- for candidates opting to apply for all classes, i.e. Class 1 to VIII
For SC/ST/PWD candidates – Rs.250 in lieu of Rs.500 and Rs.400 in lieu of Rs.800/-

Fee can be paid online through Debit/Credit card or can be paid offline by Fee Challan (Refer the Advt.)

How to Apply: Interested candidates may apply Online only from the official website of CBSE or CTET — www.cbse.nic.in OR www.ctet.nic.in

After successful submission of Online application form; a system generated confirmation Slip will appear on the screen. Candidates must print-out it and send it to the following address by REGISTERED POST/ SPEED POST along with CBSE copy of fee challan (if paid fee offline) —The Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension Patparganj, Delhi-110092.
Do not enclose any other documents and testimonials along with the Confirmation slip.

Last date for Online submission of application — 16th April 2013.
Last date for receipt of Confirmation Page22nd April 2013 (29th April 2013 in case of candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, J&K, Lahaul & Spiti district and Pangi sub division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island or Lakshadweep)
