Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Recruitment 2024

Postwise Educational Qualification & Age Limit:

Assistant Secretary:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution.
  • Age: 35 years

Assistant Secretary:

  • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subjects/ areas from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Age: 30 years

Assistant Secretary (Skill Education):

  • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Age: 30 years

Assistant Secretary (Training):

  • Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in the relevant subjects/areas from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Age: 30 years

Accounts Officer:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institution with Economics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subjects.
  • Age: 35 years

Junior Engineer:

  • Qualification: B. E. / B. Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from a university/ institution recognized by AICTE.
  • Age: 32 years

Junior Translation Officer:

  • Qualification: Master’s Degree from a Recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Bachelor’s Degree Level.
  • Age: 30 years

Accountant:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution with Economics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subjects.
  • Age: 30 years

Junior Accountant:

  • Qualification: 12th Class from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution with Accountancy/Business Studies/ Economics/ Commerce/ Entrepreneurship/ Finance/ Business Administration/ Taxation/ Cost Accounting as one of the subjects.
  • Age: 27 years

Age Relaxation:

The applicant(s) need to be at least 18 years old by the application deadline, which is April 11, 2024. There are allowances for age relaxation as follows:

  • SC/ST: 05 Years
  • OBC(NCL) Centre List: 03 Years
  • PwBD (UR) including women: 10 Years
  • PwBD {OBC (NCL) Centre List} including women: 13 Years
  • PwBD (SC/ST) including women: 15 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 05 Years
  • Women: 10 Years
  • Departmental Candidates: No Bar

Application Fee:

Applicants have to pay the Application Fees Online Mode as follows:

  • UR/OBC/EWS:
  • For Group-A Posts: Rs.1500/-
  • For Group-B posts: Rs.800/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Women: Nil

Payment Method (Online):

  • You can pay for your application online by following the instructions on the form.
    Payment can be made using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, or Internet Banking.
  • After entering your payment details, please wait for confirmation from the server. Avoid pressing back or refresh to prevent double charging.
  • Once the transaction is successful, you’ll get an e-receipt.
  • Remember to print out the e-receipt and your online Application Form showing the fee details. If you don’t see it, it means the payment wasn’t successful (Payment Failure).
  • If you don’t get an ‘E-Receipt,’ it means the payment didn’t go through. In that case, log in again using your Provisional Registration Number and Password, make the payment again, and check for the e-receipt.
Selection Process for CBSE Recruitment 2024
  • Cut-off marks for Tier-1 & Tier-2 exams vary based on category.
  • Skill Test for Accountant & Junior Accountant (typing speed required).
  • Final merit based on Tier-2 and Interview/Skill Test performance.

CBSE Recruitment Syllabus 2024

Assistant Secretary (Admin Cadre):

  • The two-tier examination is followed by an interview.
  • Tier-1: Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Exam
    • Tests on Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Arithmetic, Hindi & English, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
    • Total Marks: 300
  • Tier-2: Written Exam
    • Tests on Current Affairs, Administrative Theories, Constitution, and Essay Writing.
    • Total Marks: 320
  • Interview: 80 marks
  • Final merit based on Tier-2 and Interview performance.

Assistant Secretary (Academics/Training/Skill Education):

  • The two-tier examination is followed by an interview.
  • Tier-1: Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Exam
    • Tests on Current Affairs, Analytical Ability, and General Aptitude.
    • Total Marks: 300
  • Tier-2: Written Exam
    • Descriptive questions on specific subjects.
    • Total Marks: 320
  • Interview: 80 marks
  • Final merit based on Tier-2 and Interview performance.

Accounts Officer:

  • The two-tier examination is followed by an interview.
  • Tier-1: Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Exam
    • Tests on Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Arithmetic, Hindi & English, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
    • Total Marks: 300
  • Tier-2: Written Exam
    • Tests on Commerce, Current Affairs, Constitution, and Essay Writing.

Junior Engineer:

  • Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Examination.
  • Tests on General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Current Affairs, Language Competency, and Engineering Concepts.
  • Total Marks: 300

Junior Translation Officer:

  • Objective (MCQ) type (OMR Based) Examination.
  • Tests on General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Language & Literature.
  • Total Marks: 300

Accountant & Junior Accountant:

  • Part I: General Knowledge & School Administration (20 questions, 40 marks, 2 hours)
  • Part II: Reasoning & Math (20 questions, 40 marks)
  • Part III: Hindi & English (20 questions, 40 marks)
  • Part IV: Government Accounting & Budgeting, Basic Accounting Principles (60 questions, 120 marks)
  • Total: 120 questions, 240 marks
