Central Armed Police Force- Sub-Inspector & Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF, BSF, ITBP and CRPF.

Central Govt.’s four Armed Police Force (viz. Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibet Border Police Force and Central Industrial Security Force) is recruiting 2195 Boys and Girls for the posts of “Sub-Inspector” and “Assistant Sub-Inspector”. Details below—

1. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
Post: Sub-Inspector
Vacancies: 533 Nos.
Gender wise vacancies—Boys:480 Nos. (Gen-245, OBC-129, SC-71, ST-35); Girls: 53 Nos. (Gen-29, OBC-14, SC-7, ST-3)

Post: Assistant Sub-Inspector
Vacancies: 338 Nos.
Gender wise vacancies—Boys:304 Nos. (Gen-153, OBC-82, SC-46, ST-23); Girls: 34 Nos. (Gen-19, OBC-9, SC-4, ST-2)

2. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
Post: Sub-Inspector
Vacancies: 559 Nos.
Boys only (Gen-282, OBC-151, SC-84, ST-42)

3. Border Security Force (BSF)
Post: Sub-Inspector
Vacancies: 280 Nos.
Gender wise vacancies—Boys:280 Nos. (Gen-143, OBC-75, SC-41, ST-21); Girls: 15 Nos (gen-9, OBC-3, SC-2, ST-1)

4. Indo-Tibet Border Police Force (ITBP)
Posts: Sub-Inspector
Vacancies: 470 Nos. (Gen-267, OBC-103, SC-62, ST-38) Boys only.

Qualification Required: Graduate candidates in any discipline may apply.

Age limit: Candidates should be within 20yrs to 25yrs as on 16/3/2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs, Widow or legally divorced women if not re-married – 10yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms. PH candidates may not apply for the post.

Physical Height and Weight Measurement—
BOYS:
Height: 170 cms (If SC/ST- 162.5 and for candidates from Gorkha, Sikkimies, Hill area candidates from North-Eastern States—165cms)
Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded): 80cm/ 85cm (If SC/ST—77cm/ 82 cm)
GIRLS:
Height: 157 cms (If SC/ST- 154cms and for Gorkha, Sikkimeise and Hill area candidates—155cms)

Weight: For all cases the weight should be proportional to height and age as per medical standard.
Eye Sight: 6/6 and with other eye 6/9 in distant view without glasses.
Pay Scale:-
For posts in Sub Inspector—Rs.9300—RS.34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200
For posts in Assistant Sub Inspector—Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800

Candidates’ selection: Candidates will be selected by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) through “Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in CAPF’s and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF Examination 2012”.
Written Examination will hold on 27th May at their respective centres. In West Bengal, the centre will be at Kolkata (code-4410)
There will be two papers of 400 marks. First paper will be of 200 marks of Objective Multiple Choice Types questions on—(I) General Knowledge and General Awareness, (II) General Intelligence and Reasoning, (III) Quantitative Aptitude and (IV) English Comprehension. Each questions will carry one marks.
Second paper will be of 200 marks of Objective Multiple Choice Types Questions on English Language and Comprehension.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Candidates qualified from Written Examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test which will be of—(I) 100 Mtr run within 16seconds, (II) 1.6 KM race within 6.5 Minutes, (III) Long Jump of 3.65 Mtr in 3 chances, (IV) 1.2 Mtr High Jump in 3 chances and (V) 4.5 Mtr Shot-Pot with weight laden of 16 pound.
For Girls—(I) 100 mtr ran in 18 seconds, (II) Race of 800 Mtr in 4 minutes, (III) Long Jump of 9 feet in 3chances and (IV) 3 ft high jump in 3 chances.
After this qualifying marks on basis of Written Test will be given. Qualified candidates will be called for Personality Test/Interview. Finally there will be Medical Examination.

How to apply: Candidates may apply either Online or Offline. Online application form can be submitted through official website of SSC— http://www.ssconline.nic.in or http://www.sscregistration.sifyitest.com
And for Offline form submission, candidates can download the application format and prepare accordingly on ordinary fool scope paper.
For easiness and fast, candidates were encouraged to fill the online application form. After making part-I registration candidates will require to pay Examination fee of Rs.100 through any branch of State Bank of India or through Debit card/ Credit card and Net banking. After depositing the fee candidates can go for Part-II registration. After successful registration, make a print-out copy of the computer generated application form which may appear with unique Registration No. for further correspondence.
If candidates opt for Offline form submission then they can pay the examination fee in form of Central Recruitment Fee stamp from any post office. Application form should fill with black or blue ball point pen in Capital Letters only.
