Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi is inviting application from the eligible candidates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018. CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET) 2018

1. TEACHER FOR CLASSES I-V: PRIMARY STAGE
Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

 

2. TEACHER FOR CLASSES VI-VIII: ELEMENTARY STAGE
Educational Qualification: Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of four year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in one year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.
Candidates pursuing any of the teacher education courses are also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

 

Note: SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be given 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification.

On the basis of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 the candidates will be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I-V (Primary Stage) and classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage).

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination (Paper- I & Paper- II). The examination will be held at various centres across India.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.700/- (Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PWD) for Only Paper – I or II and Rs.1200/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PWD) for Both Paper – I & II as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). See released advertisement for more details.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) — www.ctet.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 01/08/2018 to 27/08/2018.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
