Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)- December 2019. Candidates who are aspiring to become Teachers for Classes I-V (Primary Stage) and Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) can appear for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)- 2019. CENTRAL TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (CTET)

1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR BECOMING TEACHER FOR CLASSES I-V: PRIMARY STAGE
Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

 

2. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR BECOMING TEACHER FOR CLASSES VI-VIII: ELEMENTARY STAGE
Educational Qualification: Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 04 year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 01 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/ CTET.

 

Note: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification will be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

Candidates who are aspiring to become Teachers for Classes I-V (Primary Stage) and Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) can appear for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)- 2019.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Paper-I Examination (for classes 1 to V) & Paper-II Examination (for classes VI to VIII). Both the Examination will be held on 8th December, 2019. The Examination will be held at various centres across India. For more details please see the Official Advt. A candidate who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.700/- (Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PWD) only for Paper- I or II and Rs.1200/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PWD) for both Paper- I & II as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. See released advertisement for more details.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi — www.ctet.nic.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 19/08/2019 to 18/09/2019.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
