1. CHEMIST
No. of Vacancies: 15 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and below 32 years as on 01/01/2021.
2. SCIENTIST ‘B’ (HYDROGEOLOGY)
No. of Vacancies: 16 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology or applied Geology or Marine Geology or Hydrogeology from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and below 32 years as on 01/01/2021.
3. SCIENTIST ‘B’ (CHEMICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and below 32 years as on 01/01/2021.
4. SCIENTIST ‘B’ (GEOPHYSICS)
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master of Science degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Geophysics or Applied Geophysics or Marine Geophysics or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Technology) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognized University.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and below 32 years as on 01/01/2021.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination and Personality Test/ Interview.
The Computer Based Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination will be held on 21st February, 2021 at the following Centers:- Ahmedabad, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Delhi, Dispur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Prayagraj, Shillong, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram. The Main Examination will be held on 17th and 18th July, 2021 at the following Centres:- Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Shimla.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 200/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/ SC/ ST/ PWBD CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
