Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is recruiting male candidates for the temporary posts of Constable/Driver-cum-Pump Operator (Driver for Fire Services) as special recruitment drive for filling up the backlog vacancies of SC/ST. Total vacancies—70 Nos. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms, eligibility criteria and brief details are given below —
Constable/Driver-cum-Pump Operator/(DCPO)
Number of Vacancies: 70 Nos. (SC—62; sT—08)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent qualification.
Candidates must possess valid driving licence for – (i) Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle; (ii) Light Motor Vehicle (iii) Motor cycle with gear .
Experience: Must have 03 years experience of driving Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle or Light Motor Vehicle and Motor Cycle with gear as on the last date of the application.
Age Limit: Between 21yrs to 27yrs as on 21/12/2013.
Physical Standards of the candidates —
(1). Height: 167 cms for SC candidates, 160 cms for North Eastern rigion and for persons falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas. And 160 cms for ST candidates.
(2). Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 80cms/ 85cms for SC candidates; 78cms/ 83cms for North Eastern region and person falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas. And 76cms/81 cms for ST candidates.
(3). Weight (for all candidates): Shall be corresponding to height and age of the candidates as per medical standards.
(4). Eyesight (for all candidates): Normal (See the advt.)
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
This is special Recruitment Drive for SC and ST Male Indian Citizens only. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)—
(i) Run 800 Meters to be completed in 3 minutes and 15 Seconds.
(ii) Long Jump of 11 feet (Candidate will be given 3 chances)
(iii) High Jump of 3 feet 6 inches (Candidate will be given 3 chances)
Note : Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.
Candidates who will qualify in the PET, physical measurement and detailed verification of eligibility standards/documentation will be put through Written Test, Driving Test and Medical Examination. See the Advt. for details.
How to Apply: Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with attested copies of testimonials in support of educational qualification, caste certificate, age proof documents, domicile certificate, Driving licence and etc.
Candidates must also enclose two self-addressed envelopes (8 x 19 Cms size) duly affixing postal stamps for Rs.22/- on each.
The envelope containing above documents should be super scribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE/DRIVER-CUM-PUMP-OPERATOR”.
