Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is recruiting 985 Constable (Tradesmen) in the trade of Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Motor Pump Attendant, Painter, Sweeper, Washer Man & Water Carrier. Number of Vacancies: 985 Nos. (Out of total vacancies, 100 is reserved for Ex-Servicemen).

1. Barber: 132 Nos. (Gen—64; SC—28; ST—7; OBC—33)
2. Boot Maker: 31 Nos. (Gen—21; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—8)
3. Cook: 401 Nos. (Gen—187; SC—64; ST—35; OBC—115)
4. Carpenter: 21 Nos (Gen—15; SC—3; ST—1; OBC—2)
5. Electrician: 2 Nos. (Gen)
6. Motor Pump Attendant: 2 Nos. (Gen)
7. Painter: 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
8. Sweeper: 191 Nos. (Gen—86; SC—30; ST—15; OBC—60)
9. Washer Man: 173 Nos. (Gen—84; SC—28; ST—12; OBC—49)
10. Water Carrier: 29 Nos. (Gen—25; OBC—4)

Educational Qualification:
(i). For Skilled Trades, i.e. Barber, Boot Maker, Cook, Carpenter, Electrician, Motor Pump Attendant, Painter and Washer Man, candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board or university for skilled trades. ITI pass candidates will be preferred.
(ii). For Unskilled Trades, i.e. Sweeper & Water Carrier, candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent.

Physical Standards:
Height—170 cms (162.5 cms for ST)
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—80/85 cms (76/81 cms for ST)
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
(cut-off in height and chest for Hill areas candidates and north eastern states is as per norms. See the PDF below)
Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

Age Limit: 18 years to 23 years as on 01-08-2014 for all trades, relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and by 03 years for OBC and others – as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-

Only Male candidates are eligible to apply. The post is temporary but likely to become permanent.

Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Efficiency Test and Trade Test. Selected and qualified candidates will finally go for Medical Examination (See the released advertisement for more details)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :
The candidates found fit in the eligibility, verification will be put through one mile race to becompleted in 6 Minutes 30 Seconds.

Candidates from West Bengal may prepare the IPO in favour of —“Assistant Commandant/DDO CISF NEZ HQr Kolkata” and payable at – “GPO Kolkata”
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST AND EX-SERVICEMAN CANDIDATES.
