The vacancies are further distributed into State/ UT wise. See PDF file given below for details. Total vacancies available alone in State WEST BENGAL is 61 posts (including Naxal/ Militancy affected areas, i.e. Bankura, Midnapur & Purulia)

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or Class 10 pass with Science subject.

 

Age Limit: Not less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications from candidates (i.e. 19-01-2015). Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per govt.norms.

 

Physical Standards:
Height—170 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) — 80cms/ 85cms (76cms/ 81cms for ST candidates);

Weight— Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard

Eye Sight — The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. The candidate should possess high Colour Vision.

Medical Standard — Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

Cut-off in height and Chest measurement for Hilly areas categories and NE States is as per Govt. norms. (See PDF below for details)

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as per norms.

 

The engagement to the above said posts are purely on temporary basis but likely to continue. Only Male candidates are eligible to apply.

The duly filled Application form must be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility such as Qualification certificate, age proof, caste certificate, Domicile certificate, Two additional self signed (in the front) passport size photographs and Etc.
Candidates must also enclose two self-addressed envelopes (8 x 19cms) duly affixed with postal stamp of Rs.22/-.

SC/ST CANDIDATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM APPLICATION FEE.
