Kolkata Police is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 334 posts of Civic Volunteers. Both Men and Women candidates are eligible to apply. The vacancies are under different Units/ Divisions of Kolkata Police mentioned below. 1. CIVIC VOLUNTEERS

Unit/ Division wise vacancies:

i) Traffic Department: 80 posts (Sweeper- 10)
ii) South Suburban Division: 10 posts
iii) South East Division: 15 posts
iv) East Division: 08 posts
v) North & North Suburban Division: 30 posts (Sweeper- 05)
vi) Eastern Suburban Division: 10 posts
vii) South Division: 08 posts
viii) Port Division: 25 posts (Sweeper- 05)
ix) South West Division: 15 posts (Sweeper- 04)
x) Central Division: 05 posts
xi) Brigade Headquarter: 10 posts (Sweeper- 02)
xii) Kolkata Mounted Police: 02 posts
xiii) Kolkata Home Guard Organization: 116 posts (Plumber-10, Electrician-15, Sweeper-80 & Cook-11)

 

Educational Qualification:

i) Class VIII Pass.
ii) Preferably a resident of the area under the Kolkata Police jurisdiction.
iii) Preference would be given to the candidates who have done well in sports and have experience as NCC Cadet/ Boy Scouts/ NSS Guide/ Civil Defence Volunteers etc.
iv) Should not have any criminal record against his/her name in any Police Station.
v) Should be physically and mentally fit.
vi) Candidates applying for Kolkata Mounted Police need to be willing to work with animals and have experience in this regard.

Candidates applying for Kolkata Home Guard Organization need to have good knowledge and working experience on Plumbing, Electrical, Sweeping and Cooking job.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 60 years as on 01/01/2019.

 

Both Men and Women candidates are eligible to apply. The vacancies are under different Units/ Divisions of Kolkata Police.

The selected candidates will undergo a two (02) weeks’ training course organized by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Home Guard Organization, Kolkata.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.

Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should reach at the following address — At the Office of Deputy Commissioner of Police of the concerned Division/ Department (see the Official Advt. for details), on or before 06/08/2019 EXTENDED TO 16/08/2019 upto 05:00 PM.

The Applications should be submitted Personally in the Drop Box kept at the concerned offices.
