Civil Constable in Odisha Police- Recruitment of 1878 Higher Secondary Boys and Girls as “Constable”

Odisha  Police is recruiting 1878 Boys and Girls as a “Civil Constable”. Higher Secondary pass Boys and Girls from Higher Secondary Board of Odisha or any approved board may apply for the post. Candidates should meet the below mentioned criteria—

Civil Constable: 1878 vacant post. No. of Vacancies varies from district to district.


Qualification: Higher Secondary pass from the board of Odisha or any other approved board. Candidates should have Oriya as one of top subject in Matriculation level exam. Candidates should have taken education from Oriya medium School and have pass M.E. level examination on Oriya Subject. Candidate should have ability to write, read and speak in Oriya Language.

Age: Candidates should be within 16yrs to 25yrs. Age relaxation as per norms.

Height and Weight Measurement: In case of Male—Height: 168cm (163 cm in case of SC/ST); Chest: (unexpanded/expanded): 79cm/84cm (76cm/81cm in case of SC/ST) and Weight: 55Kg (50Kg for SC/ST)
In case of Female candidates—Height: 158cm (153 for SC/ST); Weight: 47.5Kg (45Kg in case of SC/ST)

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected by State Selection Board of Odisha Police through Written Test. More details and information can be found on official website of Odisha Police—http://bpspaorissa.gov.in

How to Apply: Application can be prepared as per given format. Candidate should pay amount of Rs.100 through Bank Draft or Postal Order in favour of—“Chairman, State Selection Board, Odisha Police, Cuttack” and payable at- “Cuttack”.
