CIVIL JUDGE, JUNIOR DIVISION AND JUDICIAL MAGISTRATE FIRST CLASS
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) (a) Must hold Degree in Law.
(b) The candidate must have practiced as an Advocate in the High Court or Courts subordinate thereto for a minimum period of 03 years.
OR
ii) Must be a fresh Law Graduate who has secured the degree in Law by passing all the examinations leading to the degree in the first attempt in all academic years and has secured in the final year examination of the Degree in Law OR Master’s Degree in Law at final L.L.M. Examination not less than 55% marks.
OR
iii) Must be working or must have worked as a Public Prosecutor or Additional Public Prosecutor or Assistant Public Prosecutor or Govt. Advocate for not less than 03 years in the post or posts.
OR
iv) Must be a member of Ministerial staff of :-
a) the High Court or of Courts subordinate thereto; or
b) the Offices of the Government Pleaders attached to those Courts;
OR
v) Must be working as Superintendent in the High Court of Bombay at Goa, Panaji or in the Courts subordinate thereto in Goa and holding a Degree in Law or Sub-Registrar or District Registrar in Goa and holding a Degree in Law or Legal Assistant in the Law Department of the Govt. of Goa or Superintendent (Legal/ Drafting) in the Law Department of the Govt. of Goa, for not less than 05 years in the post or posts.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 25 (35 years in the case of Advocates with 03 years practice & 45 years in the case of ministerial staff) as on 18/09/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.27700-44770/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for candidates belonging to Backward category.
The vacancies are in the Goa Judicial Service in the State of Goa.
Candidates should have sufficient knowledge of the Konkani language. For details please see the Official Advt.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Viva voce. The Preliminary Examination (if any), Main Examination and Viva voce will be conducted in the State of Goa.
