CIVIL JUDGES
Vacancies: 320 Nos. (33 on Regular basis and 287 on Ad-hoc basis)
No. of vacancies according to category wise—
33 Nos. (Regular) — ST: 12 nos; Socially & Educationally Backward Classes: 21 Nos.
287 (Ad-Hoc) — Gen: 164 Nos., SC: 22; ST-36; Socially & Educationally Backward Classes: 65 Nos.
Qualification: Candidates must have a Degree in Law and must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction. Candidates who have passed degree in Law during 2009-2010 and onward must have passed the ‘All India Bar Examination’.
OR
Candidates must have a Degree in Law (Special) and have worked in Courts or other allied departments for at least 5 yrs.
Along with mentioned above mentioned qualification; candidates must have basic knowledge of Computer Application.
Age limit: maximum 35yrs of age as on 15/5/2012. Age relaxation — 3yrs for SC/ST/ Backward Classes. 5 years of relaxation will be given to the candidates working in the courts or in other allied Department.
Pay Scale: Rs.27700—Rs.44850 + other allowances.
Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through Written Examination. First there will be Preliminary Examination and then Main Written Test.
Preliminary Examination will be of 100 marks consisting Multiple Choice Question. There will be negative marking for wrong answer.
Candidates obtaining minimum 50% marks will be taken as qualified and will be called for Main Written Examination.
Preliminary Examination is likely to be held in June/ July and Main Examination in August/ September 2012.
