HIGH COURT OF GUJARAT INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 124 POSTS OF CIVIL JUDGES. LAST DATE — 01/03/2019
1. CIVIL JUDGE
No. of Vacancies: 124 Nos. (Gen-63, SC-09, ST-19, SEBC-33. Out of which 04 posts are reserved for PWD candidates)
Educational Qualification:
i) Must possess a Degree in Law from a recognized University and-
a) Must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and / or Criminal Jurisdiction.
Candidates, who have passed the Degree in Law from the academic year 2009-2010 and onwards, must have also passed the All India Bar Examination, in order to be considered as eligible for being termed as a Practicing Advocate.
OR
b) Must be working in the Courts or other Allied Departments.
Note: Candidates working in the Courts or other Allied Departments, must be holding LL.B. Degree of 03 years’ course or 05 years’ course from the recognised University.
ii) Must possess Certificate from recognized Institute certifying to be possessing Basic Knowledge of Computer Application/ Operation.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 01/03/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 27,700 – 44,850/-
The posts are Regular in nature.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years for SC/ST/SEBC/PWD & Ex-Serviceman. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview). The Preliminary Examination & Main Written Examination will be held tentatively on 05/05/2019 & 07/07/2019 respectively. The Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview) will be held tentatively in the month of October/ November, 2019.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST, SEBC, PWD and Ex-Servicemen) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
