INDIAN NAVY IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 14 POSTS OF SAFAIWALA, PEST CONTROL WORKER, COOK AND FIRE ENGINE DRIVER. LAST DATE — 13/09/2019 (20/09/2019)

 

1. SAFAIWALA
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (UR-04, ST-01, OBC-03, EWS-01. Out of which, 01 post is reserved for ESM)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board/ Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.18000-56900/-

 

2. PEST CONTROL WORKER
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-02, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii) Ability to read and speak Hindi/ Regional Language.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.18000-56900/-

 

3. COOK
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OBC)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Experience: One year’s experience in the trade.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.19900-63200/-

 

4. FIRE ENGINE DRIVER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) Matriculation Pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii) Must be in possession of valid driving license.
Experience: Must have at least 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles.
Desirable: i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.
ii) Experience of having worked on a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Gde I or Senior Fireman.
iii) Should have passed the general fire fighting course of Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub- Officer’s course from the National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700-69100/-

 

The vacancies are in INS Shivaji, INS Valsura and INS Hamla.

Note: The crucial date for determining the age limit of the candidates will be the closing date of receipt of application.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards (For Fire Engine Driver only):
(i) Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); (ii) Chest (unexpanded) — 81.5 cms; (iii) Chest (expanded) — 85 cms; (iv) Weight — 50 kgs.
Candidate must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Shortlisting, Written Examination, Skill/ Practical Test, Physical Fitness Test, Endurance Test and Document Verification wherever applicable.
