Central Government Enterprise—Allahabad bank is recruiting 1100 boys/girls for the post of Clerical Cadre (Single window operator). Candidates with either one qualification of the following can apply: (I) Higher Secondary or its equivalent pass with minimum 60% of total marks (For SC/ST, PH, or Ex-Serviceman: 55%). (II) OR having done Degree in any stream.
Candidates should have proper skill in computer windows, MS. Office and such applications, i.e. should have pass such courses from govt. recognized institute or training centers or candidates having computer science in Degree level course with application such as M.S. Word, Excel, Access and Etc can apply.
Candidates applying for the post in any states should have ability to speak, read and write official language of that state.
Age should be between 18 yrs to 28 yrs as on 1-1-2011. Age relaxation for OBC- 3yrs, SC/ST- 5yrs, PH- 10yrs, legally separated or divorced women who have not remarried- 9yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms and rule.
No. of vacancies: Vacancies varies from state to state, in West Bengal total vacant post is 249 nos. (Gen-125, OBC- 55, SC- 57 and ST- 12). For vacant numbers of posts in other states, you are requested to visit Bank’s website.
Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. Written test will be on following 5 papers (Objective Types): (i) Test of Reasoning Ability, (ii) Numerical Ability, (iii) Test of Clerical Aptitude, (iv) Test of English Language and (v) Test of Computer Knowledge. Candidates will have to obtain qualifying marks separately for each paper. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Obtaining of total 40% marks (35% for PH, SC/ST, OBC and Ex-Serv.) will be shortlisted for Interview.

Before applying online, candidates should deposit Rs. 300 (Rs. 50 in case of SC/ST, PH and Ex-Serv.) through Fee Payment Challan to any Branch of Allahabad Bank. Fee Payment Challan can be downloaded from Bank’s website and fee should be deposited in C.B.S. Account No: 50048720341.
After depositing the Fee, candidates can revisit the Bank’s website and continue with the application process carefully giving each detail accurately. Once submitted, candidate should make print-out of the system generated On-line Application Form. There is no need to send anything to anywhere through Postal. All the original and attested copies of documents should be prepared during Interview only.
Candidates, whose application has been approved, can download the Call Letter from the website from dated- 25th April 2011.
