Bank of Baroda is recruiting 1500 Graduates for the post of Clerical Cadre of which 140 are earmarked for West Bengal. Details of vacancies in other states are available in its official website- www.bankof baroda.com.
The recruitment will be on State wise/Union Territory-wise basis. A candidate can make an application for only one state or Union Territory and he/she should be willing to be posted at any place in that State/Union Territory. Candidates may indicate 3 districts of the State for which he/she has applied for in order of preference for posting.

Name of the post: Clerical Cadre

No. of Posts: 140 posts for West Bengal; for details of other States, please visit the Bank’s website. (For Gen/UR: 70; SC: 32; ST: 7 and OBC: 31). Out of 140, there are 2 for VH, 2 for HI & 2 for OH & 20 for XSM on horizontal basis to be placed in the appropriate category i.e. SC/ST/OBC/GEN to which they belong.

Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by Central Govt.
OR
Pass with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen) in HSC of 10+2+3) pattern/11th standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination/Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Government or UT Administration.
Candidates should be able to write and speak English fluently and should have proper knowledge of local/state language for which candidate desires to apply; this will be an added qualification.
Candidates should have skill in Computer.
Candidates should possess all the Educational qualification from recognized University/Central /State/UT Administration.

Age limit: 18yrs-28yrs as on 1.1.2011. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and for OBC candidates is 3 years. For VH/HI/OH by 10 years and Widows and legally divorced women and women judicially separated from their husband who have not re-married by 9 years i.e. maximum age of 37 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per govt. guidelines, subject to maximum of 50 yrs.

Selection Steps: Selection will be made through Written Test and Interview. Only eligible candidates will be called for Written Test which will be of Objective type Questions on following topics: (i) Reasoning Ability, (ii) Numerical ability, (iii) Clerical Aptitude, (iv) English, (v) Socio-Economic, Banking awareness and (vi) Computer awareness. Negative marks will be given for wrong answer.
Answer can be written in either English or Hindi. Candidates who have ranked better in written test will be only called for Interview and final selection will be made on basis of marks obtained in written test and Interview.

Candidates will be provided more information through a booklet, Acquaint Yourself, which will be dispatch to the candidates along with Call letter.
The exam centres in West Bengal will be at Kolkata and Howrah. The Written test will be held on 17.4.2011 and candidates who did not receive their call letter can download it from official website of Bank on 12th and 16th April of 2011.

Application Fee: Candidates will have to pay Rs.250 through any branch of Bank of Baroda, SC/ST/PC candidates should pay only Rs.50 as postage.

How to apply for the Post: Submission of Application form can be done only through Online by visiting the official website of Bank of Baroda, there is no any other means to submit the application.
After visiting the official website, candidate should first opt out to print-out the “Fees Payment Challan”. After printout, fill the payment challan clearly and then visit the branch of Bank of Baroda and make the payment. Fees should be deposited in the A/c No. 29040200000199 with Bandra Kurla Complex Branch in favour of “Recruitment of-1500-Clerical Staff-Project 2011”.

Now with the counterfoil, candidates should again visit the official website of the Bank and then enter all the details of fees and other necessary details. After all this, click the submit button the complete the process.

Candidates should carefully mention all the details accurately; any wrong information can lead to form cancellation. Counterfoil should have to be produce during Written Test, if fail to show it candidate will not be allowed to attend the exam. Therefore it is advised to make at-least 3 copies of the counterfoil for future use.

After Online submission of Application form, candidates do not need to send anything to anywhere through post. All the documents in Original and Self-Attested copies regarding qualification, experience, date of birth and caste (if applicable), in support of their eligibility should be produced during Interview.
