1. MECHANICAL ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (OBC) (Kavalur (Tamil Nadu))
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Institution.
Experience: Minimum 05 years of work experience.
Age Limit: Maximum 32 years as on 30.09.2019.

2. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (ELECTRONICS)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR) (Kavalur (Tamil Nadu))
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electronics/ Electronics and Communication with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Institution.
Experience: Minimum 05 years experience after diploma.

3. UPPER DIVISION CLERK

Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications such as word, excel, power point, internet, tally/ ERP etc.
Experience: Should have 03 years experience after graduation.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as on 30.09.2019.

4. MECHANIC ‘A’
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (OBC) (Kavalur (Tamil Nadu))
Educational Qualification: SSLC with two years NCTVT certificate course (ITI) in the trade of Millwright Mechanic/ Machinist/ Fitter with at least 60% marks from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.
Experience: Should have 02 years experience with 01 year National Apprenticeship Training Certificate (NAC) or 03 years experience in a reputed research institute or in a medium scale industry. For details please see the Official Advt.

The vacancies are at various Campuses of Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA). The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of two years.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and/ or Skill Test. The Written Test and/ or Skill Test will be held at Bengaluru for all the posts.
