Central Recruitment Agency, on behalf of the District and Sessions Judge, U.T. Chandigarh, is recruiting 31 Nos. “Clerks” and 14 Nos. “Stenographer (Grade-III)” for the vacancies in the Subordinate Courts of U.T. Chandigarh. 1. CLERK
Number of Vacancies: 31 Nos. (Gen—21; OBC—6; SC—4)
Qualification: Bachelor’s of Arts or Bachelor’s of Science or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute.
Candidates shall have passed/ studied “Hindi” or “Punjabi” as one of the subject atleast at Matriculation level. Candidates shall have proficiency in Computer Operation (Word processing and Spread Sheets)
2. STENOGRAPHER GRADE-III
Number of Vacancies: 14 Nos. (Gen—11; OBC—2; SC—1)
Qualification: Bachelor’s of Arts or Bachelor’s of Science or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institute. Candidates shall have proficiency in Computer Operation (Word processing and Spread Sheets)
The applicant shall have to pass a test at the speed of 80 W.P.M. in English shorthand and 20 W.P.M. in Transcription of the same on computer. He/she shall also have to qualify Computer Proficiency Test (Word Processing and Spread Sheets) which is mandatory.
AGE LIMITS (FOR ALL POSTS):
Minimum 18yrs and maximum 30yrs in case of General candidates as on 01.01.2014. Upper age relaxation for OBC candidates—3yrs; SC/ST—5yrs, Others—as per norms.
PAY SCALE:
For Clerk: Rs.10300—Rs.34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.3200/-
For Stenographer (Gr.III): Rs.5910—Rs.20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-
MODE OF SELECTION:
For Clerks: Written Examination (General Knowledge & English Composition) and Computer Proficiency Test.
For Stenographer: Shorthand Test (80 W.P.M. in English shorthand and 20 W.P.M. in Transcription of the same on computer) and Computer Proficiency Test.
The test is likely to be conducted in the month of May, 2014. The exact date will be notified on the website of Central Recruitment Agency
HOW TO APPLY:
Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website (See live URL given below).
The online registration is to be done in two steps – Part-I Registration and Part-II Registration.
After submission of Part-I Registration online form, the applicants will get his/her Registration ID and Password and shall print ‘Cash Deposit Receipt’ for deposition of fee in State Bank of India.
After deposition of prescribed Fee (See below), applicants shall revisit the website and shall login with their ID and Password and then shall proceed to fill the Part-II Registration form. At this stage, applicants will require to mention their fee details and shall upload their scanned images of Photograph/ Signature. After doing so, candidates shall click the ‘Lock & Submit’ button for submission of Part-II Registration form.
The applicant will receive an E-mail and SMS in this regard. Applicant should take a printout of his/her `Online Application Form’ for future use and record. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/ DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE.

EXAMINATION FEE:
General candidates shall pay fee of Rs.500/- whereas SC & OBC candidates shall pay Rs.125/- only as Examination fee.
