Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Medical Standards:
Height:
(i) Assistant Commandant (GD) and Technical: The minimum height requirement is 157 cm. Candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas may have a reduction in height as per Central Government regulations. (ii) Assistant Commandant (CPL-SSA) (Men/Women): The minimum height requirement is 162.5 cm, and the maximum height allowed is 197 cm. The minimum leg length should be 99 cm. Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age, with a maximum acceptable deviation of +10%.
Chest: The chest should be well-proportioned, with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Eye Sight:
(i) Assistant Commandant (GD): Uncorrected vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye. Corrected vision should be 6/6 in both eyes with glasses. (iii) Assistant Commandant (CPL holders – SSA): Vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye. Vision can be correctable to 6/6. (iv) Assistant Commandant (Technical): Uncorrected vision should be 6/36 in both eyes. Corrected vision should be 6/6 in both eyes with glasses.

Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be through Examination.

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the Indian Coast Guard.
Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/acknowledgement slip with a unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPIES OR DOCUMENTS ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
