Cochin Shipyard Limited, Kochi, is recruiting 30 candidates for Ship Draftsman Trainees in the discipline of – Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Electronics. 1. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Mechanical): 13 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—3)
2. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electrical): 13 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—3)
3. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Instrumentation): 2 Nos. (Gen)
4. Ship Draftsman Trainee (Electronics): 2 Nos. (Gen)
Out of total vacancies (30 Nos.), one seat is reserved for PWD candidate. 

Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary and 3 years of Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation disciplines with minimum 60% marks or equivalent qualification with flair for Draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD.

Age: Maximum 25yrs as on 31/08/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs.

Candidate’s Selection: Selection will be through Written / Practical Test and Interview to be held at Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Kochi.

The written test will be of objective type and will include questions on — General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and discipline related. 
For the practical test, candidates are required to prepare a drawing using CAD.

Application Fee: Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of – Cochin Shipyard Limited and payable at – Kochi. 
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD categories are not required to Application Fee.

After applying through online, candidate is required to take a print out of the system generated application form with unique registration number generated by the system and affix a recent passport size photograph and send the same along with the Demand Draft (in original) and self attested copies of all certificates for proof of age, qualifications, mark sheets, experience, caste, disability etc, to — THE GENERAL MANAGER (HR), COCHIN SHIPYARD LTD, KOCHI-682015.

The envelope containing the print out of the online application should be superscribed on top as “Application for the post of Ship Draftsman Trainee______ (Discipline) & Registration No. ______”.
