COCHIN SHIPYARD LIMITED, P&A DEPARTMENT IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 27 POSTS OF FIREMAN AND SAFETY ASSISTANT. LAST DATE — 12/08/2016
1. Fireman: 12 Nos. (UR-08, OBC-03, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC.
Candidates should have minimum four to six months training in Fire Fighting OR Certificate in Nuclear Biological Chemical Defence and Damage Control (NBCD), including fire fighting on-board ships
Knowledge in Malayalam is desirable.
Experience: Minimum one year experience in fire fighting
Physical Standard:
(a) Height without shoes – 165 cms (concession of 2.5 cm for ST)
(b) Chest (un-expanded) – 81.5 cms (chest on expansion -85 cms)
(c) Weight- 50 Kgs (minimum)
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 12/08/2016
Consolidated Pay: Rs.14000/- per month.
2. Safety Assistant: 15 Nos. (UR-09, OBC-04, SC-02)
Educational Qualification: Pass in SSLC.
One year Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety
Experience: Minimum one year training or experience in safety
Age Limit: Maximum-30 years as on 12/08/2016
Consolidated Pay: Rs.14500/- per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Practical Test. Practical test will be conducted during August 2016 at Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
