Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online application for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 (Including SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course). The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conduction a Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 for admission to various courses at the Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai. Total 418 vacancies will be filled on the basis of the result of this examination. COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), 2020 (INCLUDING SSC WOMEN (NON-TECHNICAL) COURSE)

Total Vacancies: 418 Nos.

 

Name of the Course and Approximate No. of Vacancies:
i) Indian Military Academy, Dehradun- 150th (DE) Course commencing in January, 2021: 100 posts
ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala- Course commencing in January, 2021 Executive (General Service)/ Hydro: 45 posts
iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad- (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in January, 2021: 32 posts
iv) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)- 113th SSC (Men) Course (NT) commencing in April, 2021: 225 posts
v) Officers Training Academy, Chennai- 27th 16 SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2021: 16 posts

 

Educational Qualification:
i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai:- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
ii) For Indian Naval Academy:- Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ Institution.
iii) For Air Force Academy:- Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

 

Age Limit: Born not earlier than 02/01/1997 and not later than 01/01/2002 for IMA & Indian Naval Academy, Born not earlier than 02/01/1997 and not later than 11/01/2001 for Air Force Academy, Born not earlier than 02/01/1996 and not later than 01/01/2002 for Officers’ Training Academy

 

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conduction a Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 for admission to various courses at the Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai.


Note:
Only Unmarried Men and Women candidates are eligible to apply.

Candidates who are studying in the final year/ semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination and candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications may also apply.

The candidates should meet the prescribed Physical Standards requirement as laid by Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020. Please see the Official Advt. for more details.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. The Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 will be conducted on 2nd February, 2020. The Examination will be held at various centres across India.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 200/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). See released advertisement for more details.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF FEMALE/ SC/ ST CANDIDATES.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) — http://upsc.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 30/10/2019 to 19/11/2019.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
