Constable (Daftry) in BSF- Border Security Force. Last Dt. 14/07/2012 (29/7/2012)

Border Security Force is recruiting 15 persons for the post of Constable (Daftry). Madhyamik pass Boys and Girls may apply for the post. The application form is to be prepared on plain paper as per format and should reach the below mentioned address. Eligibility and qualification criteria is given below—

1. Constable (Daftry): 15 Nos. (Gen—7; OBC—4; SC—2; ST—1; Minority communities—15)


Qualification: Madhyamik pass from a recognised board and should have basic Computer knowledge.

Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 with grade pay of Rs.2000.

Age limit: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on last date of application. Relaxation for OBC—5yrs; SC/ST—3yrs; OBC—3yrs and Others—as per norms.

Physical Standard:—
For Male Candidates: Height—167.5; Chest (unexpanded/expanded): 80/85cms; Eye Sight—6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without wearing glasses; Weight—corresponding to height.
For Female Candidates: Height—157 cms; Chest—Not applicable; Eye sight—6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes and Weight—corresponding to height.
Cut-off in Height and Chest for candidates falling under relaxation category is as per norms.

The posts were temporary but likely to be permanent.
Selection Steps: Selection will be in two phase; Phase-I and Phase-II.
In Phase-I, there will be Written Test and in Phase-II there will be – (i) Physical Standard Test, (ii) Documents verification and (iii) Medical Examination.
Qualified candidates from Written Examination will only go through Phase-II selection. Written examination will be of 100 marks on – Hindi/ English language, General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude and Basic Computer Knowledge.
Exact and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates.

Application Fee: Rs.50 in form of Crossed Bank Draft or Postal Order. It should be prepared in favour of authority to whom the application is addressed according to choice of Centre. The list of centres and address is available at the below given link.
ST/ST and Women candidates do not require Application fee.

How to Apply: Prepare the application form as per format. Enclose the following documents with the application—

• Attested copies of Matriculation/ Qualification/ Age proof certificate
• Attested copies of Caste/ NOC certificate, as applicable
• 3 passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer (one copy of Application form, one copy in Admit card and other copy as enclosure with form)
• 2 Nos. self-addressed envelope (25cm x 12cm) duly affixed postal stamp of Rs.27 on each
• Crossed Bank Draft or IPO of Rs.50 as Application fee.

On the top of the envelope superscribe— “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (DAFTRY) IN BORDER SECURITY FORCE—2012”
