The Andaman and Nicobar Police is recruiting 75 Nos. Police Constable Driver (Executive). Matriculation pass candidates with valid driving licence may apply for the post. Application form is to be submitted on prescribed application format within last date. Eligibility norms and other criteria in brief is given below —
1. Police Constable Driver (Executive): 75 Nos. (Gen—32; ST—8; OBC—28; Departmental Candidates—7)
Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10) pass and must posses valid Light/ Heavy Motor Vehicle driving license with knowledge of motor mechanism.
Physical Standard : Height—168 cms (160cm for ST); Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded): 81/85cms (77/81cms for ST) and Weight: Minimum 50 kgs (47 Kg for ST candidates).
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25 yrs as on 02/11/2012. Upper age relaxation for OBC—3yrs and ST—5yrs.
Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000/- per month.
Selection of candidates will be through— Measurement test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) , Written Test, Trade Test and Interview.
Physical Endurance test will be of –
(i) High Jump of 4 ft in 3 chances.
(ii) Long Jump of 12 ft in 3 chances.
(iii) Race of One mile in 7 minutes.
Written Test will be of 60 marks covering questions of – General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic and English Language.
Qualified candidates will have to go for Practical test (driving test, Signs test, Motor maintenance test, etc).
Finally candidates will be called for Interview/ personality test. Medical examination will be there for fitness test.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates must apply on prescribed application format. The application form should be enclosed with Self-Attested copies of Qualification certificates, Age proof, Driving licence, Experience certificate, if any, Trade certificate, if any, Caste, Etc and 3 Nos. passport size photographs.
Last Date of Application: Application form along with enclosures can be submitted to – “The Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ), Police Head Quarter, Atlanta Point, Port Blair” from dated 03rd October 2012 to 02nd November 2012.
