Central Government’s 6 Para Military Force—Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is recruiting 49848 boys and girls for the post of “Constable (General Duty)”.  Madhyamik pass boys/girls may apply—

Required Qualification: Madhyamik (Matriculation) pass boys and girls may apply for the post of Constable (GD).

Age limit: Candidate should be between 18yrs to 23yrs old as on 1-8-2012 i.e. Date of Birth should be between 1-8-1989 to 1-8-1994. Age relaxation: OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and Ex-Servicemen- as per govt. norms.

Physical Measurement:-
For Boys: Height- 170 cm (162.5 for SC/ST candidates and 165cm for candidates from Assam, Tripura, Mizoram and Hill areas). Chest (Unexpanded/expanded): 80cm/85cm (78cm/83cm for Hill areas candidates)
For Girls: Height: 157cm. (150cm for SC/ST and 155cm for candidates from Assam, Tripura, Mizoram and Hill areas).
Eye Sight: In case of distance, eye sight should be 6/6 and 6/9.
Weight should be correspondence to Height and Age.
Candidate should be physically well built without any defects. Candidates with glass or contact lens were not eligible to apply.

Candidates’ Selection: Candidates will be selected by Staff Selection Commission through “Recruitment of Constable (GD) in CPOS and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2012” Examination.
Candidates will be called for Physical measurement, documents verifying and then Physical Ability Test. Qualified candidates will be then called for Written Test and Medical Examination.

Physical Ability Test will be of—For boys: Race of 5KM in 24 Minutes. If qualified in race then there will be 11ft long jump and 3.5ft High Jump in 3 given chances.
For Girls: Race of 1.6 Km race within 8.30 minutes. If qualified in race then there will be 9ft long jump and 3ft high jump in 3chances.

All the selected candidates from Physical Ability Test will be called for Written Test on All India basis. Written test will be on 22nd April-2012. There will be 100 marks of 100 Nos. Objective Multiple Choice Types questions on the following topics—(I) PART-A  General Intelligence and Reasoning, (II) PART-B General Knowledge and General Awareness, (III) PART-C Elementary Mathematics, (IV) PART-D English/Hindi Language. Each part will be of 25 marks and time allotted- 2hrs.
Selected candidates from written test will be called for Medical Examination on the month of June/July.
Result and list of selected candidates will be prepared on State basis.


Qualifying marks in Written Test: For General and Ex-Serviceman candidates—35% and for OBC/SC/ST candidates—33% will be qualifying marks. Final result will be declared on 30th September 2012.

Written Test will be held at their respective centres. How to Apply: To apply for the post there is two option given- Online or Offline. Candidates may find convenience if they opt for Online method.

Candidates should do first Part-I registration. After part-I registration they will need to pay exam fee of Rs.50 through Netbanking and then proceed to Part-II registration. Exam fee can be also deposited from bank. For such case, after Part-I registration make a print-out copy of fee challan and with this fee challan deposit the exam fee of Rs.50 from any branch of State Bank of India.
After depositing the fee go for Part-II registration. During part-II registration candidates will require to provide their own scan passport size image and signature. After submitting the application form a computer generated application will appear with unique Registration No. Make print-out copy of this generated application form and keep safely for further use.
