Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) is inviting application for 1356 posts of Constable (General Duty). The vacancies are in Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). CONSTABLE (GENERAL DUTY)

No. of Vacancies: 1356 Nos.
Male: 1184 posts (BSF: 618, CISF: 566)
Female: 172 posts (BSF: 109, CISF: 63)

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or 10th Class pass from a recognized Board/ University.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years as on 01/08/2019.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.21700 — Rs.69100

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

The vacancies are in Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Only Male and Female candidates belonging to U.Ts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are eligible to apply.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 78 cms (76 cms for ST); Chest (expanded) — 83 cms (81 cms for ST); Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 155 cms (150 cms for ST candidates); Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test and Medical Examination.
