Arunachal Pradesh Police is recruiting 1760 persons for the post of  “Constable” against AAPBN and IRBN. Only Male candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates should apply for the post of Constable on prescribed format within 16/07/2012. Advt.No. PHQ/PER-29/2011. Class-X pass candidates within age of 17yrs to 21yrs. Qualification: Matriculation pass for general candidates and Class-VIII pass for APST and APST Ex-Serviceman.

Age limit: between 17yrs to 21yrs as on 1/1/2012. Relaxation for APST and SC/ST—5yrs. Ex-Serviceman as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.2000.

Physical Standard: —
Height: 165 cms (160 for APST and 152 for Tirap/ Changlang)
Chest (for all candidates): 84cms and ability to expand it by 5 cms.
Candidates should not have any physical defects which may hinder in the performance in duty.

Application form should be enclosed with attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, age proof, caste, Permanent Residential Certificate of the district and

• 4 Nos. recent passport size photographs with self-signature on them (one copy paste on application form and other 3 copies as enclosure)
• Treasury Challan of Rs.40 (Rs.10 for SC/ST only) in favour of – Assistant Inspector General of Police (E), PHQ, Itanagar under Head of Account “0055” Police.

Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through Physical Efficiency Test, Written examination  and Interview.
Physical Efficiency Test will be – (i) 1500mtrs Race within 8 minutes, (ii) High Jump and Long Jump of 120cms and 13feet respectively in 3 chances, (iii) 100 mtrs race in 16 seconds and (iv) Chin-ups- 6 times.


Candidates who qualify PET will be eligible to sit in Written Examination. Written Examination will be on – (i) General English—100 marks, (ii) General Knowledge—100 marks and (iii) Elementary Mathematics—100 marks.
Qualified and shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview. finally there will be Medical Examination for physical fitness.
