Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC), Bihar is recruiting 7606 Boys and Girls for the post of “Constable”. Class 10 pass candidates may apply for the post of Constable in Bihar Police against the Advt.No. 01/2012. Eligible candidates may collect the Application form from the Post Offices and should submit within the prescribed date. Eligibility and other criteria in brief is given below—

CONSTABLE IN BIHAR POLICE THROUGH CENTRAL SELECTION BOARD OF CONSTABLE (CSBC)
1. Name of the post: Constable
No. of Vacancies: 7606. (General-2725; BC: 739; BC-female:379; EBC-1945; SC-1637; ST-181). Full forms—BC: Backward Class; EBC: Extremely Backward Class; SC- Scheduled Caste; ST- Scheduled Tribes.
N.B: The No. of vacancies mentioned above is further breaks up into District wise. For details please refer the Advt. (link given below)
Important: Only SC/ST/BC/EBC candidates of Bihar (permanent resident) may avail the relaxation and reservation facility. SC/ST/EBC/BC/etc Candidates of other States may apply as General Candidates only.

Qualification: Class 10 (Matric) pass.

Age: Candidates should be between 18yrs to 23yrs. Age relaxation for EBC/BC—2yrs; EBC/BC (Female): 3yrs; SC/ST (male/female): 5yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay—Rs.1900

Physical Standards of the Candidates: —
Height: 165 cm (for General Male candidates) and 155 cm (for Female candidates of all categories); 162 cm (for EBC candidates) and 160 cm (for SC/ST candidates). Others—as per norms.
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 81 cm/ 86 cm ( 79cm/ 84cm only for SC/ST candidates). Not applicable for female candidates.

Physical Ability Test:—
Run— Race of 1 Mile to be completed within 6 Minutes. (1 KM within 6 Minutes for Female candidates).
High Jump— high jump of 4 feet for Male candidates and 3 feet for Female candidates.
Long Jump— long jump of 12 feet for Male candidates and 9 feet for Female candidates.
Shot put— Throw of 16 pound ball to minimum distance of 16 feet for Male candidates, and 12 pound to distance of 10 feet for Female candidates.

How to Apply: Interested candidates may collect the Application form from the selected Post Offices within Bihar State on making of cash payment of Application fee.
Cost of Application form: for General / EBC/ BC—Rs.200 and for SC/ST candidates—Rs.75. list of Post Offices where candidates may collect the Application form is given in the officially released Advt.

Candidates should fill the application form as instructed on the form itself. Use a big size envelope for application form to seal and do not fold the Application form. Do not send any documents along with the Application form.
After filling the application form, candidates should make a photocopy of it for records.

Last Date: Application form can be submitted in person during office hours (9 am to 5 pm) or can be send by Speed Post/ Registered Post to the below given address within 10th July 2012 at the following address — “Central Selection Board of Constable, Bank Hording Road, Patna—800001”.
Note: Candidates who wish to submit form in person should bring the Acknowledgement slip. Acknowledgement slip is available along with Advt. which can be downloaded/ print-out from the official website of Central Selection Board of Constable. It should be in prescribed size.
