Recruitment of 2622 Higher Secondary Boys as Temporary “Constable (Exe)”- Male in Delhi Police

Delhi Police is recruiting 2622 boys for the post of “Temporary Constable (Executive) – Male”. Candidates from all India may apply for the post. Higher secondary pass boys within 18 years to 21 years may apply –

Number of Vacancies: 2622 Nos. (General-1311; OBC-708; SC-402; ST-201) among them 10% post reserved for ex-serviceman.

Qualification: Higher Secondary Pass Boys in any stream may apply for the post, in case of ex-serviceman; degree course pass were also eligible to apply.

Age limit: Candidates should be within 18 years to 21 years as on 1 July, 2011. Age relaxation whereas follows – OBC-3 years (OBC candidate enrolled in Central or Delhi State government will only receive the age relaxation), ex-serviceman-as per norms.

In all cases candidates should have valid two wheelers and light vehicle driving licence.

Physical Height and Measurement: Height – 170 cm (165 cm for SC/ST and Hill Area candidates); Chest (unexpanded/expanded) – 81 cm/85 cm (5 cm cut off in chest for SC/ST and Hill area candidates); Eyesight – 6/12 from both eyes without any glass.
Candidates should be well built and free from any disease.

Pay scale: Rs. 5200-Rs. 20,200 per month

Selection Procedure: Candidate will be selected in four different steps – (1) Physical Ability Test, (2) Physical Height and Weight Measurement, (3) Written Test and (4) Interview.
Physical ability test will be of – 1600 meter race within 6 min, 5 foot chin up, 18 feet shot pot (of 16 pound) in three chances.
Candidates selected from physical ability test and physical height and weight measurement test will only allow to sit in Written Test. Written test will be of 1 ½  hour of 100 marks. Questions will be Objective Type on the following topics – (1) Reasoning (35 marks), (2) General Knowledge/Current Affairs (50 marks), (3) Numerical Ability (15 marks). If selected in written test will be called for Interview of 10 marks.
Bonus Mark:  01 mark for NCC’s B- certificate and 02 Mark for NCC’s C- certificate, 3 marks for candidates above 178 cm in height.

How to Apply: Candidates may apply either off-line or online. To apply online candidates may visit the official website of Delhi police –www.delhipolice.nic.in or http://delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in and may submit the application form. Candidate willing to apply through off-line system may prepare the application on Plain in A4 size paper as per given format. Application format is available on the above-mentioned website.
Procedure to apply online – After visiting the above-mentioned website candidate may fill the online application form as instructed on the site. After submitting the application form a computer-generated application form will appear with unique Registration Number. Candidates should make printout of this form on A4 size paper. Now this application form should be sent by ordinary post along with the demand draft/bank draft of Rs. 100 at the below given address. Candidates should paste recent passport size photograph on the application form.
Procedure to apply off-line – candidates willing to apply off-line should prepare the application form on plain A4 size paper as per given format (available on the official site of Delhi police, mentioned above) and then fill it with own handwriting. Candidate should paste recent passport size photograph. Now the application form can be sent to the below given address along with Demand Draft/Bank Draft of Rs.100. Caste certificate should be enclosed and ex-serviceman should enclosed the required document.

Notes—Demand Draft/ Bank Draft should be made in favour of—DCP, Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi and write payable at—Delhi.
