Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu, The Niligiris, Under ministry of Defence, is recruiting 295 persons as Semi-Skilled in trade of — Chemical Process, Fitter Instrument/ General/ Boiler, Electrician, Millwright, welder, Fitter Auto/ Electronics. Madhyamik pass boys with NCTVT/ ITI trade certificate may apply for the relevant trade. Application form is to be prepared as per format. Details below—
SEMI SKILLED: 295 Nos. Out of total no. of vacancies; 29 posts is reserved for Ex-Serviceman.
No. of vacancies according to trade wise—
1. Chemical Process: 275 Nos. (Gen-146; OBC-74; SC-52; ST-3)
2. Fitter Instrument: 1 Nos. (Gen)
3. Fitter General: 1 Nos. (Gen)
4. Fitter Boiler: 1 Nos. (Gen)
5. Electrician: 3 Nos. (Gen-2; OBC-1)
6. MillWright: 7 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-2, SC-1)
7. Welder: 2 Nos. (Gen-1; OBC-1)
8. Fitter Auto: 3 Nos. (Gen-2, SC-1)
9. Fitter Electronics: 2 Nos. (Gen-1, OBC-1)
The no. of posts mentioned above may increase or decrease. The General Manager, Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu reserves the right to change the numbers of vacancies.
Qualification Required: —
(i) Matriculation (class-10) pass or equivalent.
(ii) Must have NCTVT Certificate or ITI trade certificate in relevant trade. Equivalent diploma/ certificate are acceptable.
Age limit: between 18yrs to 32yrs as on last date of making application. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and others—as per norms.
Selection steps: Selection will be made through Written Test and Trade Test. Both test will be of 100 marks. The written test for the trade will be broadly as that of the NCTVT examination syllabus for that trade. The trade test (Practical) will be as per Trade Test Specification of the Semi- Skilled grade of the relevant trade.
Date of Written test/ Trade test to the eligible and shortlisted candidates will be informed in due course.
How to Apply: The application should be made on plain paper as per application format issued officially.
Along with application form send 3 Nos. passport size self-attested photographs (One coy is to be pasted on the application form and other two copies as enclosure) and IPO of D.D of Rs.50 as Examination Fee. The attested copies of educational certificate, age proof certificate, NCTVT/ITI trade certificate, Caste certificate and any other relevant documents should be also enclosed.
Examination fee: Examination fee of Rs.50 is to be made in form of IPO or DD in favour of — “General Manager, Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu”. SC/ST/Ex-serviceman candidates do not need to pay examination fee.
Last date: Application form along with enclosures should reach within 8th June 2012.
