Vacancies are in the following Trades — Driver, Fitter, Bugler, Tailor, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Cobbler , Carpenter, Gardner, Painter, Cook, Water Carrier, Safai Karamchari, Barber and Hair Dresser.
Total No. of Vacancies: 791 Nos. (Vacancies are further distributed as per Trade wise and State wise. See PDF file given below)
Name of states where vacancies are available — Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Note: Only male and female candidates belonging to above listed States are eligible to apply for vacancies.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
(i) For Driver: Candidates should possess valid “Transport Vehicle” driving license
(ii) For CT/Fitter: Candidates should possess 2yrs ITI course in Mechanic Motor Vehicle Or Diploma in Automobile AND should have one year experience in the field.
(iii) For Tradesman: Candidates must be proficient in respective trades.
Age Limit: Between 21 to 27yrs for Constable (Driver) and between 18 to 23yrs for rest of all trades as on 01-01-2015. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 05yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 — Rs.20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/- plus other allowances as per norms.
Candidates can apply for only one post (trade). Written/trade test will be conducted for the applied trade post. The tentative date of written test is 01/03/2014. See officially released advertisement for more details.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format along with Application Fee in form of DD/IPO/Banker’s Cheque
Candidates should also enclose FOUR SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPES (4×9 inches) duly affixed with postal stamp of Rs.27/- on each.
Note: No other document/testimonials are required to be attached/sent alongwith the application form.
Application Fee: Rs.50/- is to be paid by means of crossed IPO/Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of the Deputy Inspector General of Police of concerned application receiving centre by the male candidates belonging to General and OBC categories.
Candidates belongs SC & ST category, all female candidates and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee
