SCIENTIST
Number of Vacancies: 31 Nos. (Gen—10; SC—8; ST—3; OBC—10)
The total numbers of vacancies are distributed to Area wise which were as follows —
Area: Civil Engineering: 19 posts (UR-09, SC-03,ST-01,OBC-06)
Qualification: M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering/ Geotechnical Engineering/Building Engineering and Disaster Mitigation/Engineering of infrastructure and disaster mitigation/Building Science and Technology/ Earthquake Engineering with bachelors degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engg. with Ph.D (Engg.)(Submitted/Completed) in any of above areas.
Area: Physics: 4 posts. ( ST-02, OBC-02)
Qualification: Ph. D. (Submitted) in Physics/Electronics/ Instrumentation in solar energy applications OR M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering related to solar energy applications in buildings.
Area: Chemistry: 04 posts ( SC-03, OBC-01)
Qualification: Ph. D. (Submitted) in Chemistry in the areas of Cement Chemistry/ Advanced Building Materials/ Polymeric composite materials/ Fire retardant or resistant materials/ Solid Waste Utilization.
Area: Architecture: 04 Posts (UR-01, SC-02, OBC-01)
Qualification: Masters degree in Architecture/Planning, with Bachelors degree in Architecture.
Desirable (applicable to all posts): Working knowledge in respective area/ field is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.6600/-
Age: Maximum 32yrs as on last date of application, i.e. 20/10/2014. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 05 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST community and 03 years for the candidates belonging to OBC community.
Widows, Divorced Women and Women judicially separated from their Husbands; who are not remarried, the upper age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years (up to 40years for members of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and up to 38 years for members belonging to OBC in respect of the post reserved for them).
Selection will be made strictly according to Merit. The candidate should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experiences in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification, supported with document.

The candidates are required to rename both their duly filled-in files (‘Application Form’ and ‘Synopsis Form’) with the pattern Post_Code_No-Name_Initials-Mobile_no.doc and Post_Code_No-Name_Initials-Mobile_no.xls
For example, if the candidate whose name is ‘Ram Prasad Sharma’ and mobile no. 9876543210 wishes to apply for post having Post Code No. 01 of the advertisement, he / she should rename the files as 01-RPS-9876543210.doc and 01-RPS-9876543210.xls
