CSIR IGIB Recruitment 2023 – Required Conditions should be applied in favor of Candidates

1. To be eligible, applicants must hold Indian citizenship.
2. Preferential consideration will be given to applicants with experience in Product Development, Technology Innovation, Applied Technology, etc. The Screening Committee will assign importance to candidates possessing relevant experience within the laboratory’s mandate.
3. Candidates must ensure that they possess the necessary educational qualifications and experience in the specified category/post by the last date of the online application. Meeting the minimum essential qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the Written Test/Interview, and inquiries regarding eligibility will not be entertained.
4. The prescribed educational qualifications must be obtained from recognized Boards/Institutions/Universities. The completion of a Ph.D. degree is considered from the date of the provisional certificate/notification.
5. The age limit, experience, and qualifications will be determined as of the closing date for online application submission, i.e., 23.12.2023. Experience in a discipline/area of work, if prescribed, will be counted after acquiring the minimum educational qualification for the post.
6. The decision of the Competent Authority of CSIR-IGIB regarding eligibility, application acceptance or rejection, and the selection process’s conduct is final. Claims of equivalent qualifications must be supported by the Competent Authority’s order/letter.

Selection Process for CSIR IGIB Recruitment 2023

A Screening Committee, duly constituted, will be responsible for shortlisting candidates for subsequent stages. This committee will employ its own set of criteria for the shortlisting process. Those recommended by the Screening Committee will receive invitations for interviews. While the prescribed essential qualifications represent the minimum requirement, applicants are encouraged to highlight all qualifications and experiences in the relevant area, surpassing the minimum stipulated qualifications, in their applications. The final merit list will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.

In cases where the number of applications is substantial, CSIR-IGIB may implement shortlisting criteria to manage the interviewee pool effectively. This may involve holding a written test or employing other methodologies as deemed appropriate by the Screening Committee. These criteria include evaluating the quality of publications in the specified field, considering higher educational qualifications than the minimum advertised, assessing higher experience in the relevant field than the minimum required, or employing any other method deemed suitable by the Screening Committee.

Candidates residing abroad may have their candidature considered in absentia upon their written request to the Selection Committee.

The initial screening of candidates will be based on the documents and information provided by the candidates. If, at a later stage, it is found that candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria, their candidature will be canceled without assigning any specific reason.
