India’s First-Ever Lavender Farm:
The first-ever Lavender Farm in India is located in the state/union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
This Lavender Farm is situated in Challa village, which is in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
It spans across two hectares of land and is owned by the Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare.
Lavender, a plant native to Europe, was introduced to the temperate regions of Jammu and Kashmir in 2018 by the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) as part of the CSIR-Aroma Mission. Doda, a district in Jammu and Kashmir, played a significant role in India’s lavender cultivation.
Platform Launched on National Unity Day:
On National Unity Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial.
He also launched the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform designed for the country’s youth.
This event marked the culmination of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign’s Amrit Kalash Yatra, and the platform is aimed at engaging and empowering the youth of India in various initiatives and activities.
Project Kusha – Long-Range Air Defense System:
Project Kusha is India’s ambitious long-range air defense system project.
It is under the purview of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which is India’s premier organization for the development of defense technology and systems.
The goal of Project Kusha is to develop an indigenous air defense system capable of detecting and intercepting a wide range of threats, including stealth fighters, aircraft, drones, cruise missiles, and precision-guided munitions at ranges of up to 350 kilometers. It is designed to provide similar interception capabilities to systems like the Russian S-400 Triumf air defense system.
‘Vision India@2047’ Plan:
The preparation of the ‘Vision India@2047’ plan is undertaken by NITI Aayog, which stands for the National Institution for Transforming India. NITI Aayog is a government think tank in India that is responsible for formulating policies and strategies for the nation’s development.
This vision document aims to outline a roadmap to make India a developed country by the year 2047.
NITI Aayog has been tasked with consolidating ten sectoral thematic visions, covering various aspects like infrastructure, welfare, commerce and industry, technology, and governance.
The plan envisions India’s economy reaching a worth of $30 trillion by 2047, with a per capita GDP of $17,590.
Manaus and the Amazon Rainforest:
Manaus is a city located in Brazil.
It made headlines due to a record drought affecting the Amazon rainforest.
This drought revealed petroglyphs, which are ancient rock carvings, that were carved by humans up to 2,000 years ago.
The petroglyphs were found at a point in Manaus where the dark waters of the Negro River meet the Amazon River.
The engravings depict various subjects, including humans, animals, and geometric shapes like squares and circles, providing insights into the region’s ancient history and art.

ভারতের প্রথম ল্যাভেন্ডার ফার্মটি জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের রাজ্য/কেন্দ্রশাসিত অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত।
এই ল্যাভেন্ডার ফার্মটি জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের কাঠুয়া জেলার চাল্লা গ্রামে অবস্থিত।
এটি দুই হেক্টর জমি জুড়ে বিস্তৃত এবং এটি কৃষি উৎপাদন ও কৃষক কল্যাণ বিভাগের মালিকানাধীন।

এটি ডিফেন্স রিসার্চ অ্যান্ড ডেভেলপমেন্ট অর্গানাইজেশন (ডিআরডিও) এর আওতাধীন, যেটি প্রতিরক্ষা প্রযুক্তি এবং সিস্টেমের উন্নয়নের জন্য ভারতের প্রধান সংস্থা।
