Name of the Post: Police Constable
Total No. of Vacancies: 111 Nos. (34 posts for Daman & Diu; 67 posts for Dadra & Nagar Haveli). Out of total vacancies 33% vacancies is reserved for Women candidates.

 

Educational Qualification: Class 12th pass.
Desirable: Minimum 3 months computer course and Service as a Home Guard.

 

Physical Standards: (i) Height-168cms for Males and 152cms for Females. (ii) Chest — 81-85cms (Not applicable for women candidates)

 

Physical Efficiency Test:
(i) Run — 800mtr in 3mins 30sec for Male and 4mins for Females
(ii) High Jump-1.07mts for Males and 0.90mts for Females
(iii) Long Jump — 3.68mts. for Males and 3.00mts for Females
(iv) Eye — 6/6 without glasses both eyes.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

Note: Any Indian citizen can apply for the post. However, applicant who is Domicile of Daman & Diu/Dadra & Nagar Haveli shall be given weightage as per norms. See officially released advertisement for more details.

 

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years. The upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- to Rs.20200/- per month and Grade Pay Rs.2000/- per month.

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Documents Verification, Physical/Endurance Test and Computer Test. Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.
