600 Diploma/ Degree holders for the post of Junior Engineer, Graduate Engineer and Junior Pharmacist in Damodar Valley Corporation.

Damodar Valley Corporation is recruiting 600 Diploma and Degree pass boys for the post of “Junior Engineer Grade-II (Electrical)”, “Junior Engineer Grade-II (Mechanical)”, “Junior Engineer Grade-II (C and I)”, “Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical)”, “Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil)”, “Graduate Engineer Trainee (C and I)” and “Junior Pharmacist Grade-II”

1. Junior Engineer Grade- II (Electrical): 90 nos. (Gen-44, OBC-25, SC-14, ST-7)
Post No: 2011/5
Qualification: Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering’s 3 years Diploma pass and have acquired minimum 65% (60% for SC/ST) in per year/semester may apply for the post. Age: within 28yrs. Pay scale: Rs.9300-34800, Grade pay: Rs.4200

2. Junior Engineer Grade-II (Mechanical): 216 nos. (Gen-108, OBC-58, SC-33, ST-17)
Post No: 2011/6
Qualification: 3 years diploma course pass in Mechanical Engineering and should have acquired 65% (60% for SC/ST) marks in per year/semester may apply for the post. Age limit and pay scale is same as above post.

3. Junior Engineer Grade-II (C and I): 29 Nos. (Gen-15, OBC-8, SC-4, ST-2)
Post No: 2011/7
Qualification: 3 years Diploma course on Electronics and Telecommunication OR Instrumentation Engineering and should have acquired 65% (60% for SC/ST) marks in per year/semester may apply for the post. Age limit and pay scale is same as above.

4. Junior Pharmacist Grade-II : 13 Nos. (Gen-5, OBC-4, SC-2, ST-2)
Post No: 2011/8
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass in Science stream with 2 years diploma course in Pharmacy may apply. A candidate having their name enrolled with Central or State Pharmacist Council is desirable but candidates should have 2 years working experience as dresser ship examiner or dressing and working in any hospital or nursing home. If a candidate is Degree course pass in Pharmacy then may have one year working experience.
Age: within 35 years. Pay Scale:5200-20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2600

5. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Electrical): 67 nos. (Gen-37, OBC-15, SC-11, ST-4)
Post No: 2011/1
Qualification: Electrical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Degree Course pass with minimum 65% (60% for SC/ST) marks may apply for the post. Age: within 29 years. Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 and Grade pay: Rs.5650

6. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical): 134 nos. (Gen-77, OBC-46, SC-11)
Post No: 2011/2
Qualification: Mechanical or Power Plant Engineering Degree Course pass with minimum total 65% (SC/ST: 60%) marks may apply for the post. Age and pay scale is same as above. Grade pay: Rs.5650.

7. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil): 21 Nos. (Gen-16, OBC-3, SC-1, ST-1)
Post No: 2011/3
Qualification: Civil Engineering Degree course pass with minimum 65% (60% for SC/ST) marks in total may apply for the post. Age and pay scale is same as above.

8. Graduate Engineer Trainee (C and I): 30 nos. (Gen-17, OBC-9, SC-2, ST-2)
Post No: 2011/4
Qualification: Control and Instrumentation Engineering Degree Course pass with minimum 65% (60% for SC/ST) marks in total may apply for the post. Age and pay scale is same as above post.

For all the above given posts, age should be calculated as on 1-1-2011. OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and PH-10 yrs will receive as age relaxation.

Selection of candidates will be through written test which may held on 10 th July at Kolkata and Ranchi. Written Test will be of Objective Types Questions on (I) Test of Reasoning Ability, (II) Quantitative Aptitude, (III) General Awareness, (IV) English Language, (V) Trade base knowledge/topics. Beside this there may be descriptive type questions. Selected candidates will be called for Interview.

How to Apply: Application can be submitted online or offline. For Post No. 2011/1 to 2011/7, application can be submitted only through Online within 4th June. For Post No. 2011/8, application should be submitted through Offline only within 13th June 2011

For post No. 2011/1 to 2011/4, exam fee of Rs.300 should be paid through online system. For Post No.2011/5 to 2011/8, amount of Rs.200 should be paid as exam fee. Amount can be paid through any branch of State Bank of India at the following a/c—DVC Account No. 31728459593 (Power Jyoti Scheme) at SBI, CAG Branch, Kolkata (9998) on behalf of DVC. Fee can be deposited through Challan which can be downloaded from the website (web address given below). No fee required for SC/ST and PH candidates.

For post No 2011/8, application can be prepared on A4 size paper as per given format. Format can be downloaded from the website: http://dev.gov.in . along with application form, enclosed the following documents—(I) Attested copies of required documents (along with check list), (II) Recent 6 copies color  pass port size photo (one copy on application form and other 5 copies keep with yourself for later use) (III) Attested copies of PH, SC/ST, OBC certificates for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

On the top of application containing envelope, write: (i) Name of the post and Post No……. (ii) Category:………

For Post No.2011/1 to 2011/7, application should be made through online within 4th June 2011. Candidates should have their own valid email id. After online form submission, a registration slip may appear on screen, candidates should make 2 print-out copies of this registration slip. One copy of slip should be kept nicely and other copy should be send through postal service at the following address: The Advertiser (DVC), Post Box No. 9248, Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, Delhi-110 051.

Along with registration slip enclosed attested copies of all required documents (along with check list). Out of 6 color passport size photo, paste one copy on the registration slip and other 5 copies should be kept properly for later use.
