Govt. of West Bengal — Office of the District Magistrate, Darjeeling, Election Section is inviting application from the eligible candidates to the post of “Data Entry Operator” under Election Setup of the District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Darjeeling and for Sub-division and Headquarter of the of the Darjeeling district, i.e. Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong and Siliguri. Details given below —
1. Name of the Post: Data Entry Operator
No. of Vacancies: 5 Nos. (Gen—3; SC—1; ST—3)
Engagement under Election Setup of the District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Darjeeling under the Govt. of West Bengal and one post in each sub-division and Headquarter of the Darjeeling district, i.e. Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong and Siliguri.
Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) and DOEACC ‘O’ level passed. Candidates must know Bengali and knowledge of Bengali Typing (Nepali language and Knowledge in Nepali typing for 3 Hill sub divisions)
Desirable: Candidates with one year of practical experience as Data Entry Operator is desirable.
Age: within 30 years as on 01-01-2012. Upper age relaxation is as per Govt. norms.
Pay scale: Rs.5400—Rs.25200/- and Grade pay: Rs.2600/- per month
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Practical examination and Interview.
Written Examination : 50 marks.
Practical Examination: 30 Marks.
Interview: 20 Marks.
Date and venue of Written Examination / Interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Admit Card as well as will be notified in the District website.
